In the name of God men.
I Jane Rodgers of BroughJiarg Moar in the parish of Ballaugh and
formerly of the Village in the parish of Michael widow calling to mind
the uncertainty of this life do proceed make and publish this my last
will and testament in manner following.
First I commend my soul to God and my body to a Christian burial.
Secondly I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Jane wife of John
Thomas Craine the sum of two hundred pounds and the whole of my household
furniture which is at BroughJiarg Moar as legacy and in case
my personal estate proves insufficient to pay the said sum of two
hundred pounds then and in that case the said sum of two hundred pounds or
any deficiency requires to make up the said sum is to become a lien
and charge on my real estate anything hereinafter stated to the contrary
notwithstanding.
Thirdly I leave and bequeath unto the rest of my children and all other
persons who may have a right to participate  in this my last will and
whose names are not mentioned herein that sum of one shilling each as
legacy.
Lastly I leave and bequeath unto my son John and his heirs and assigns
all and singular the whole of my Real Estate consisting of houses and
lands situate in the parish of Michael by whatsoever name this same is known
and distinguished and I further constitute nominate and ordain and appoint
my said son John whole and sole executor and residuary legatee
of all the rest and remainder of my goods, monies, credits, and effects
of whatever nature or description whatsoever or wheresoever.  In testimony
whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name or mark to my name this the
Thirteenth day of May One thousand eight hundred and seventy eight 1878.

Signed by the testatrix in our presence  who at her request and in her
presence and in presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as
witnesses

At an Ecclesiastical Court held at Peel on the 27th day of Feb 1880 -
John Rodgers sworn executor of Jane Rodgers will.
John Thomas Craine and his wife rec's  two hundred pounds legacy. 3 Dec 1881.
Pledges were John Cannell of Ballacooley in the parish of Ballaugh and
John James Cannon of CooilShallagh in the parish of Michael.
