Santan 1892 #199 This is the last will and testament of Catherine Oates (widow) of the Post Office in the parish of Santan in the Isle of Man. I leave to my late son in law William T. Moore the use of the dwelling house garden and out offices in which I now reside during his life time, but when, he occupies the aforesd premises he that said Wm T. Moore is to pay my four grand children whom I then hereinafter name on his possessing this property the sum of forty pounds otherwise if he refuse to pay the forty pounds this forty pounds is to remain as a mortgage on the aforesd house garden and out offices and the said Wm T. Moore is to pay interest thereout at the rate of five percent per annum on the deceased of the said Wm T. Moore the aforesaid property is to descend to my grand son Thomas Oates Moore his the said Wm T. Moore's eldest son and the distribution of the forty pounds aforesaid is to be paid as follows: To my grandson William Henry Moore ten pounds To Edwin Charles Moore ten pounds To Christopher Moore ten pounds To Walter Bramwell Moore ten pounds To Eda Ann Moore my granddaughter ten pounds To Catherine Corrin my granddaughter ten pounds To Emma Corrin my granddaughter ten pounds To my son Henry Oates the sum of twenty pounds And bequeath to my granddaughter Eda Ann Moore my bed room furniture bed and bedding. I nominate and appoint my step son James Oates baker and Flour dealer my executor and residuary legatee signed and published the tenth day of January 1884. Oates executor of my grandmother's will the sum of ten pounds as a legacy left by her to me. This 21st day of October 1893 William Henry Moore Received from Mr. J. Oates executor of my grandmotheršs will the sum of ten pounds a legacy left by her to me. This 27th day of April 1895 Edwin Charles Moore. October 12th 1895 Received from James Oates executor of my grandmother Catherine Oates will the sum of ten pounds being a legacy left by her to me and I hereby release the said James Oates from all further liability to me in this matter. Leece Edith Ann Leece. 1894 Received from James Oates executor to my grandmother Catherine Oates will the sum of twenty five pounds being my portion that is one half of a legacy left by my grandfather Thomas Oates to my mother Catherine Corrin now deceased Also ten pounds left by my grandmother to me and I hereby acknowledge that these are the only amounts to which I am entitled by my grandfather and grandmother's wills and I hereby also release the executor James Oates Catherine Corrin 22 Feb 1894. Oates executor to the will of the late James Oates the sum of Eleven pounds fifteen shillings being amount of legacy with interest left to me by the will of my late grandmother Catherine Oates. Aug 9th 1900 Walter Bramwell Moore Received from Mary Ann Oates executrix of the late James Oates executor to my grandmother Catherine Oates will the sum of twenty five pounds being my portion that is one half of a legacy left by my grandfather Thomas Oates to my mother Catherine Corrin now deceased, also ten pounds left by my grandmother to me and I hereby acknowledge that these are the only amounts to which I am entitled by my grandfathers and grandmothers wills and I hereby also release the executrix Mary Ann Oates from all further liability to me in the matter.
