This is the last will and testament of me Christopher Preston of Ballachurry
in the parish of Rushen.  I being of sound mind memory and understanding at
the making hereof and revoking all wills by me
heretofore at any time made.
I nominate and appoint my wife Josephine Preston and Richard
Qualtrough of Ballacreggen in the parish of Arbory to be executor and
trustees under this my will they and the survivor of them and the heirs
executors administrators and assigns of such survivor and other the trustees
or trustees for the time being hereunder being hereinafter included under
the designation "trustees".
I bequeath to my daughter Eliza Anna wife of Thomas Edward Moore of
Ballafesson five shillings.
I bequeath to my daughter Isabella Preston one hundred pounds.
I leave and bequeath all the rest residue and the remainder of my
personal estate of every description (including my lease of Ballachurry) and
kind and wheresoever the same may be to the trustees but in trust for the
purposes following, that is to say, after payment of my debts and funeral
and testamentary expenses in trust to permit my said wife to occupy and
enjoy the benefits and income derivable from the whole of my property during
her widowhood such income to be applied for her own use and the maintenance,
education, support and advancement of my children. I having confidence in
her that she will do what is best for my children
but in the event of the death or second marriage of my said wife before my
youngest living child attains the age of twenty one years then in
trust to apply the income derivable from the share belonging to such
child or children for their maintenance education support and
advancement in life until they attain the age of twenty one years as the
trustees in their discretion shall see fit and on the death or second
marriage of my said wife In Trust to divide the whole of the trust
property equally between my children namely Isabella, William, Tom
Leech; Joseph Christopher and Walter or such of them as may then be living
equally between them share and share alike.
Provided always that the provision made by this will for my said wife is
in lieu of and in full satisfaction for all rights of every description
which she might have in the personal estate of which I may die
possessed.
Provided also that the said Richard Qualtrough shall and may retain the sum
of five pounds a year to reimburse himself for his trouble or
expense he shall be put to in the execution of the Trusts hereof.
In witness whereto I have hereunto subscribed my name this
twenty-fourth day of Feburary 1897.

At a District Probate Session held at Castletown on the 10th May 1897.
Josephine Preston and Richard Qualtrough sworn executors.
Whereas Christopher Preston of Ballachurry in the parish of Rushen did
by his last will and testament dated the 24th day of February 1897 leave and
bequeath (inter alia) to his daughter Isabella Preston the sum of one
hundred pounds.
And whereas the said Christopher Preston departed this life on the 2nd day
of March 1897 and probate
 of his said will was at a court of Probate Session held at Castletown on
the 10th day of May 1897 granted to Josephine Preston of Ballachurry
aforesaid widow and Richard Qualtrough of Ballacreggan in the parish of
Arbory the executors in such will named.
And whereas the said Isabella Preston subsequently intermarried with William
Eden Corrin.
Now these presents witness that the said William Eden Corrin and
Isabella Corrin his wife do acknowledge to have received from the said
Joseph Preston and Richard Qualtrough executors as aforesaid the said sum of
One hundred pounds and they do therefore acquit the said Josephine Preston
and Richard Qualtrough and their respective heirs executors administrators
and assigns and the estate of the said Christopher Preston deceased from any
further liability or
accountability in respect thereof.
In witness whereof the said William Eden Corrin and Isabella Corrin have
hereunto subscribed their names the 31st day of December 1903. William Eden

Will of Christopher Preston late of Ballacurry in the parish of Rushen
deceased.
Know all men by these presents that we Josephine Preston of Ballacurry
in the parish of Rushen widow and Richard Qualtrough of Ballacregeen William
Preston of Poolvash and Thomas Qualtrough of Ballacregeen in
the parish of Arbory are jointly and severally and any two of us jointly
bound unto our Soverign Lady the Queen in the sum of one thousand pounds to
the payment whereof, well and truly to be made to our said
Lady the Queen, her heirs and successors, we bind and oblige ourselves
jointlyand severally, and any two of us jointly, our Executors and
Administrators, firmly by these presents.  As witness  our subscription the
10th day of May in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and
ninety seven.
Th condition of the obligation is such that if the above name Josephine
Preston and Richard Qualtrough who seeks to obtain a grant of probate of the
last will and testament of Christopher Preston late of Ballacurry in
the parish of Rushen but now deceased, who died on or about the 2nd day of
March 1897, do, when lawfully called on in that behalf, make or cause
to be made a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the personal
estate and effects of the said deceased, which have or shall come to
their hands, possession or knowledge or into the hands of any other
person for them and the same so made do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited,
into the proper Registry in that  behalf whenever required by
law so to do:  And the same personal Estate and effects of the said
deceased, which shall at any time come into the hands or possession of
the said Josephine Preston and Richard Qualtrough or into the hands or
possession of any other person or persons for them or which without default
might have come into the hands or possession of the said Josephine Preston
and Richard Qualtrough do well and truly administer according to law, that
is to say, do pay the debts and liabilites of the
said deceased so far as the said personal estate will extend and the law
bind the said Josephine Preston and Richard Qualtrough then this
obligation to be void and of no effect, or else to remain in full force and
virtue.
