Ballaugh 1900 The humble petition of Thomas Corlett of Rose Point Douglas Robert Swan Stephen of Douglas and James Thomas Corlett of Corvalla Ballaugh. Sheweth: That your petition's cousin Thomas Frederick Corlett departed this life on the 6th day of Feb last intestate. That it is necessary to have administration set up to the estate of the said Thomas Frederick Corlett. That with the exception of your petitioner's there are no next of kin on the island. Wherefore petitioners pray a hearing hereof and that your honour may be pleased to grant administration of the estate to the said James Thomas Corlett or to some other fit and proper person and they will pray. At a court held at Michael 23rd day of July 1900 James Thomas Corlett of Corvalla in parish of Ballaugh a cousin of the deceased was sworn to administer the estate and effects of the deceased with pledges being Jane Kneal Blackwood Cottage Ballaugh and Thomas Corlett of Ballakinnag Ballaugh jointly bound in amount of ten pounds 6 Feb 1900.
