In the name of God Amen
I John Thomas Joughin Blacksmith of the parish of Jurby do make the
following as and for my last will and testament hereby revoking all
other will or wills by me heretofore made.
First I commit my soul to Almighty God and my body to a decent
Christian burial.
Secondly I leave and bequeath to my daughter Ann now Ball) wife of
William Ball the sum of sixty pounds as legacy to be paid out of my real
estate of homes and lands and securities to me belonging.
Thirdly I leave and bequeath to my daughter Frances now Francis
Christian wife of Nelson Christian the sum of sixty pounds as legacy to
be paid out of my real estate of houses lands and securities to me
belonging.
Fourthly I leave and bequeath to my daughter Alice Joughin the sum of sixty
pounds as legacy to be paid out my real estate of homes lands and securities
to me belonging.
Fifthly I leave and bequeath to my daughter Emily Joughin the sum of one
hundred pounds as legacy to be paid out of my real estate of houses lands
and securities to me belonging.
Sixthly I leave and bequeath to my daughter Jessy Joughin the sum of one
hundred pounds as legacy to be paid out of my real estate of  houses
lands and securities to me belonging.
Seventhly I leave and bequeath to my son John Thomas Joughin the sum
of two hundred pounds as legacy to be paid out of my real estate of houses
lands and securities to me belonging
Eight I leave and bequeath to my son Andrew Joughin the whole of my
real estate of houses lands and securities and notes situate in the parish
of Jurby Andreas and Lezayre and to his heirs and assigns after the day
of my decease forever, meaning and intending hereby the whole of my estate
of houses, lands, and securities and notes, cash to me belonging situate in
the parishes of Jurby, Andreas, and Lezayre whether the same be intack land
or quarterland
Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my aforesaid son Andrew
Joughin sole and whole executor of this my last will and testament and
residuary legatee of all the rest of my property, goods, chattels, cash,
and effects of whatever kind nature or description real and personal.  In
witnesses whereof I hereto subscribed my name.  This the twentieth day of
April in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred eight eight - April 20,
1888.

John Thomas Joughin received 200 lbs 11 Mar 1903.

The humble petition of Andrew Joughin of the Post Office in the parish
of Jurby
Sheweth that John Thomas Joughin late of Jurby blacksmith departed
this life on the 31st day of March 1902 after having first duly made and
executed his last will and testament bearing date the 20th day of April 1888
whereof he appointed your petitioner sole executor
That your petitioner prays a hearing hereof and that your Honor may be
pleased to grant probate of the said will of the said John Thomas Joughin to
your petitioner and he will every pray.

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at a court to be held at
Ramsey on Monday the 28th day of April 1902 at 10:30 O'clock forenoon.
Whereof all proper parties and persons are to have due and lawful notice.
