The humble petition of Isaac Cowin of Ballacowell in  the parish of Lonan
Miner.
Sheweth: William Cowin of Ballacowle aforesaid miner and father of
your petitioner died on the 4th day of May 1903 having first duly made
his will dated the 21st day of April 1903 whereof he appointed your
petitioner executor.
It is necessary that the said will should be proved wherefore petitioner
humbly prays a hearing hereof and that this court may be pleased to
grant probate of the said will to petitioner and he will ever pray.

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at a court to be held at
Douglas on Monday the 10th day of August 1903 at 11 O'Clock forenoon.
Whereof all proper parties and person are to have due and lawfully
notice.
Given at Douglas this 6th day of August 1903.

Whereas William Cowin of Ballacowle in the parish of Lonan now
deceased, did by his last will and testament dated 21st day of April
1903 probate whereof was granted to Isaac Cowin at a court holden at Douglas
on 10th August 1903 devise and bequeath to his brother Josiah Benjamin Cowin
of Benton California USA the sum of 60 lbs Now these presents witness that
the said Joseph Benjamin Cowin doth hereby own
and acknowledged to have received from the said Isaac Cowin executor
as aforesaid the full amount of the said legacy of 60 lbs and in
consideration thereof the said Josiah Benjamin Cowin doth hereby
release acquit and discharge the said Isaac Cowin executor as aforesaid, and
for the estate of the said William Cowin from any further liability in
respect of the said legacy.
As witness my signature this the 27th April 1904.

Whereas William Cowin of Ballacowle in the parish of Lonan now
deceased did by his last will and testament, dated 21st day of April
1903 probate whereof was granted to Isaac Cowin at a court holden at Douglas
on 10th August 1903 devise and bequeath to his brother in law John C. Quayle
of Cleveland USA the sum of fifty  pounds.  Now these presents witness that
the said John C. Quayle doth hereby own and acknowledge to have received
from the said Isaac Cowin executor as aforesaid the full amount of the said
legacy of fifty pounds and in consideration thereof the said John C. Quayle
doth hereby release, acquit, and discharge the said Isaac Cowin executor as
aforesaid and also the estate of the said William Cowin from any further
liability in respect of
the said legacy.
As witness my signature this the 31st day of May 1904.

I William Cowin of Ballacowle in the parish of Lonan, being of sound
mind memory and understanding do make this my last will and testament
in manner following hereby revoking and cancelling all wills heretofore
made by me.
First I leave devise and bequeath to my brother Thomas H. Cowin the sum of
fifty pounds; to my brother Josiah B. Cowin I leave devise and
bequeath the sum of sixty pounds and to my brother Albert J. Cowin I
leave devise and bequeath fifty pounds .
Next I leave devise and bequeath to my brother in law John C. Quayle the sum
of fifty pounds.
To the two daughters of my said brother-in-law John C. Quayle named
Christina Quayle and Amy C. Quayle I leave the sum of twenty-five
pounds to each of them.
To my sister Isabella Dominica I leave the sum of ten pounds.
Next I leave devise and bequeath to my nephew Fred Cowin (son of my last
mentioned sister) the sum of twenty pounds.
To my nephew William A. Clucas if alive at my decease I leave devise and
bequeath the sum of thirty pounds.
Next I leave devise and bequeath to my brother Isaac Cowin the whole of my
real estate of whatsoever nature or description and also the whole of the
remainder of my personal estate of every description as his own absolutely.
I also hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said
brother Isaac Cowin sole executor of this my last will and testament and
have hereunto subscribed my name this the twenty first day of April in
the year One thousand nine hundred and three (1903)

pounds.
