Stowell Ramsey 1903 N°. 280 In the High Court of Justice Common Law Division (Testamentary Jurisdiction) In the goods of Mary Ann Stowell late of the Town of Ramsey spinster I, the undersigned, one of the next of Kin of the said Mary Ann Stowell do hereby consent to the appointment of Elizabeth Stowell of the said town spinster as adminis- trator of the Estate of the said Mary Ann Stowell deceased and I do hereby authorize the bearer hereof to appear at any Court after this date and signify such consent. The humble petition of Elizabeth Stowell of Windsor Terrace in the town of Ramsey Spinster Sheweth: THAT Mary ann Stowell late of Windsor Terrace aforesaid Spinster departed this life on the eleventh day of April 1903 Intestate THAT it is necessary that administration of the estate of the said Mary Ann Stowell should be granted to some fit and proper person and your petitioner is desirous that the same should be gran- ted to her. WHEREFORE your petitioner humbly prays a hearing hereof and that your Honour may be pleased to grant administration of the said Estate of the said Mary Ann Stowell to your petitioner and she will ever pray. Stevenson Moore IN HIS MAJESTY’S HIGH COURT OF JUSTICE OF THE ISLE OF MAN COMMON LAW DIVISION – [TESTAMENTARY JURISDICTION.] At a Court held at Ramsey the 11th day of December 1903 Upon hearing this petition in presence of the parties or their Advocates, and it being proved that Mary Ann Stowell late of Windsor Terrace in the Town of Ramsey ~~~~~ on or about the Eleventh day of April 1903 departed this life at Ramsey aforesaid and intestate, a Spinster This Court hath decreed Elizabeth Stowell also of Windsor Terrace aforesaid Spinster a Sister of the deceased Administrator of All and Singular the Personal Estate and Effects of the said Deceased, and accordingly she is sworn well and truly to administer the said Estate and Effects of the said Deceased by paying her just debts and funeral expenses so far forth as the said Estate and Effects will extend, and the Law bind her and distributing the residue according to Law, and to return to the proper Registry a full, true, and perfect inventory of all and singular the said Estate and Effects, with an accurate account of her administration thereof, when thereunto lawfully required. In the High Court of Justice Common Law Division [Testamentary Jurisdiction] Estate of Mary Ann Stowell, spinster, deceased KNOW all men by these present that we Elizabeth Stowell of Windsor Terrace in the town of Ramsey spinster John Edward Crye of Windsor Terrace in the said town of Ramsey Retired Farmer and Frederick Malcolm Lamothe of the town of Ramsey aforesaid Advocate are jointly and severally and any two of us jointly bound unto our Sovereign Lord the King in the sum of ~~~~~~~~ Two Hundred ~~~~~~~~~ Pounds to the payment whereof, well and truly to be made to our said Lord the King, his heirs, and successors, we bind and oblige ourselves jointly and severally, and any two of us jointly, our Executors and Administrators, firmly by these present. As Witness our subscriptions the 11th day of December in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and three. THE CONDITION of our obligation is such, that if the above named Elizabeth Stowell ~~~~~~~ (hereinafter called the said Administratrix) the intended Administratrix of all and singular the personal estate and effects of the said Mary Ann Stowell deceased late of Windsor Terrace aforesaid but now deceased, who died at Ramsey on or about the eleventh day of April 1903 do, when lawfully called on in that behalf, make, or cause to be made, a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the Personal Estate and effects of the said deceased which have or shall come into her hands, possession, or knowledge, or into the hands of any other person for her and the same so made do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited into the proper Registry in that behalf whenever required by law so to do; and the same Personal Estate, and effects and all other the personal estate and effects of the said deceased, which shall at any time come into the hands or possession of the said Administratrix, or into the hands or possession of any other person or persons for her or which without fault might have come into the hands or possession of the said Administratrix, do well and truly administer according to law, that is to say, do pay the debts and liabilities of the said deceased so far as the personal estate will extend and the law bind the said Administratrix, and to deliver and pay unto the person or persons legally entitled thereto all the rest and residue of the said personal estate and effects, then this obligation to be void and of no effect, or else to remain in full force and virtue.
