Bride 1910 31 The humble petition of Elizabeth Joughin widow, Elizabeth Jane Joughin, and Katherine Ellen Joughin, Spinsters all of Thurot Cottage in the parish of Bride. Sheweth: That Mark Henry Joughin late of Thurot Cottage aforesaid son of your petitioner Elizabeth Joughin and brother of your other petitioners departed this life on or about the 3rd day of December 1909 intestate. That it is necessary that administration of the estate and effects of the said Mark Henry Joughin should be granted to some fit and proper person and your petitioners are desirous that such administration should be granted to your petitioners Elizabeth Jane Joughin and Katherine Ellen Joughin Wherefore your petitioners pray a hearing hereof and that your Honor may be pleased to grant administration of the estate and effects of the said Mark Henry Joughin to your petitioners Elizabeth Jane Joughin and Katherine Ellen Joughin and your petitioners will ever pray. Upon hearing this petition in presence of the parties or their advocates, and it being proved that Mark Henry Joughin late of Thurot Cottage in the parish of Bride, Farmer, sailed as a passenger from this town of Ramsey on the passenger Steamer "Ellen Vannin" belonging to the port of Douglas and which steamer was lost at sea near the Port of Liverpool on the 3rd day December 1909 and the death of the said Mark Henry Joughin on 3rd day of December 1909 this court doth hereby presume that he died doth decree Elizabeth Jane Joughin and Catherine Ellen Joughin both of Thurot Cottage aforesaid spinsters sisters of the said deceased. administration of all and singular the personal estate and effects of the said deceased and accordingly they are sworn well and truly to administer the said estate and effects of the said deceased by paying his just debts and funeral expenses so far forth as the said Estate and Effects will extend, and as the law bind them and distributing the residue according to Law, and to return to the proper Registry a full, true and perfect inventory of all and singular the said estate and effects, with an accurate account of their administration thereof, when thereunto lawfully required.
