The humble petition of Ann Abigail Clucas of Number "ll" Adelaide
Terrace in the borough of Douglas spinster and William McLaughlin and
Elizabeth Jane McLaughlin his wife both of the town of Castletown
(hereinafter called the petitioners).
Sheweth:
1.  The above named William Clucas late of Number 11 Adelaide Terrace
in the said Borough of Douglas Retired Farmer died on or about the First day
of May One thousand nine hundred and twelve a widower leaving his
last will and testament in writng bearing date the Thirty first day of
January One thousand eight hundred and ninety eight and whereof appointed
his daughters the said Ann Abigail Clucas and Elizabeth Jane McLaughlin
Executrices.
2.  The said Elizabeth Jane McLaughlin is the wife of the said Wm McLaughlin
both of whom are petitioners.
3.  The petitioners are desirous that the said will of the said deceadant
should be proved and probate thereof granted to the said Ann Abigail Clucas
one of  the petitioners with power reserved for the other petrs to come in
and be sworn at anytime hereafter.
Wherefore your petrs humbly pray a hearing hereof and that this court may be
pleased to grant probate of the said will of the said William
Clucas deceased to the said Ann Abigail Clucas one of the petrs with
power reserved to the other petrs to apply for leave to come in and be sworn
at anytime hereafter, and such other and further relief as to the court may
seem meet and the petrs will every pray   P. G. Cannell for

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at a court to be holden at
Douglas on Monday the 18th day of June 1912 at 10:30 o'clock in the forenoon
whereof all proper parties and persons to have due notice. Given this 4th
day of Jun 1912.  [signature]

This is the last will and testament of me William Clucas of Number
Eleven Adelaide Terrace in the town of Douglas retired farmer.
I do hereby revoke all wills and testamentary writings by me at any time
heretofore made and do declare this only to be my last will and
testament.
I devise unto my daughter Ann Abigail Clucas who now resides with me
the dwelling house and premises situated and being Number Eleven
Adelaide Terrace in the town of Douglas To Hold to her and her heirs and
assigns absolutely.
I bequeath to my said daughter Ann Abigail Clucas all the household
furniture linen china plate books pictures and household effects in upon
or about my said dwelling house Number Eleven Adelaide Terrace
aforesaid at the time of my decease.
I bequeath unto my said daughter Ann Abigail Clucas the sum of one hundred
pounds
I bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Jane McLaughlin wife of Wm McLaughlin
of Allan Street in the town of Douglas, Police Sergeant, the
sum of three hundred pounds.
I bequeath to my son George William Clucas of Ballanank in the parish of
Malew Farmer the sum of one hundred pounds.
I bequeath to my son William Henry Clucas of the town of Douglas joiner
the sum of five pounds.
And as to all the rest residue and remainder of my property both real and
personal I give and bequeath the same to my children Ann Abigail Clucas,
Elizabeth Jane McLaughlin and George William Clucas To Hold to them
their heirs executors and administrators according to the nature and
character of such property in equal shares absolutely and forever.
I declare that the provision contained in this my will in favor of any
female shall be for her sole and separate use.
I appoint my said daughters Ann Abigail Clucas and Elizabeth Jane McLaughlin
executrices of this my will.
In witness whereof I the said William Clucas have  hereunto subscribed
my name this the Thirty first day of January One thousand eight hundred and
ninety eight.  William Clucas
Signed published and declared by the said testator William Clucas, as
and for his last will and testament, in the presence of us, both present
at the same time, who in his presence at this request and in the presence of
each other hereto subscribe our names as attesting witnesses.
