Son & granddau: ArWills 1654 Ballaugh: Grace Cowley dau of Thomas Cowley baptized  3 December 1654 Ballaugh.
   ?Wife of son: Margaret Clark married Patrick Cannell on 23 June 1639, Jurby Parish.
   ?1st husband of son's wife: Ballaugh parish register: Patt: Cannell buried  3 May 1643. [more likely]
?Self & son: 1671 Liber Vastarum, Ballaugh: Phinlo Cowley had farmland of 21s rent in Ballacurrie treen, and he was long dead, so his 
eldest son Thomas was in possession of the whole, and sold land of 6d rent to Thomas Corlett who was entered for the 6d rent in 1671.
?Self: 1637 Liber Assed, Ballaugh: Ballycurine treen: Phinlo Cowley was entered for quarterland of 21s yearly rent.
?Son & grandson:  1672 Liber Vastarum, Ballaugh:  Thomas Cowley had farmland of 8s 6d rent in Ballacowin treen 
(total rent 17s), and his son John Cowley was entered for it in 1672 by course of heirship.
Self & son & grandson: 1672 Liber Vastarum, Ballaugh: Phinlo Cowley had farmland of 21s in Ballacowin treen (total rent 21s), and he was long dead 
and his son Thomas Cowley was entered for it, but now Thomas was withdrawn and his son John Cowley was entered for it by course of heirship.
?Son: 1643/57 Composition book Ballaugh:  Thomas Cowley was entered for quarterland in 1643.
?Son & his wife & grandson: 1670 Old Ballaugh Sales, #31: dated 6 July 1670: Thomas Cowley of Ballaugh & his wife Margaret Cowley [alias Cannell] alias Clark & 
his son & heir John Cowley sold for £6 15s English, to Thomas Cowlet (wright of Ballaugh) a parcel called Collage (5d single rent), witnesses: Michael Caley & 
Thomas Radcliffe, Court October 1670;  November 1706, the setting quest state that rent double was 7d.
