summary: wife is alive (left half the quarter of land that her father had until son John was of age), underage son John Kewn, dau Margaret (not yet 
married), sister: Alice Kewn (left the other half quarterland until the son John was of age), supervisor of son: Parson William Crowe, witnesses: Sir 
John Stevenson (vicar of Jurby) & David Lace & William xxxx & William xxxx
Supervisor:  Diocese of Sodor & Man, by William Harrison, 1879: vicar of Lezayre: William Crowe appointed 1603, 
ending in 1614 when Silvester Crowe became vicar.
Witness: Diocese of Sodor & Man, by William Harrison, 1879: vicar of Jurby: John Stevenson was 
appointed Vicar of Jurby in 1585, until 1603 when John Clark became vicar of Jurby.

In the name of God Amen   I Gilbart Kewen sicke
in bodie but whole in mynd and of prfect remembrance 
thankes to God do constitut this my last will &
testament in manner and forme following     ffirst I
give and bequeath my Soule unto the hands of
Almightie God my creator and redeemer and my
Body to be buried in Christian buriall     Itm  I doe
Constitut & ordaine my sonne John Kewen my
true and lawfull exectr of all my goods movable
and unmovable and he to give a dowrie to his
sister Margrett Kewen accordinge to his abilitie
and power    Item I leave to my wiffe the half
quarter of ground wch her father had until 
the boye come to lawfull yeares    Item I leave 
to my sister Alice Kewne the other half qtr
until the child come to yeares of discrecon    Itm
I bequeath to my daughter Margrett a cowe
