Manx Will 1607M #08 Jurby will of Patrick Cowley, died about January 1606/7: 
Summary: wife is alive, dau Ann Cowley, son John, son Thomas, son & exec William, mother is alive, sister Catharine Cowley, brother Thomas Cowley, 
supervisors: William Teare & John Brew & brother Thomas Cowley witnesses: Sir John Clark & Stephen Daugherty & Phinlo Coobragh/Choobright. 

In the name of God Amen, I Patrick Cowley am sick in bodie but wholl 
in mind the lord God be praysed for yt, do make my last will & testa= 
ment in manner & forme as ffoloweth, first I do commend my soule into the 
hands of almightie God, my maker: who Sanctified me and al mankind, 
I do bequeath to the poore owne boule malt, own ferlet wheat, owne ferlett otte 
meale, and motton, & owne sheep, the rest at my exectrs: discretion,  Itm I 
bequeath to Anne Cowley my daughter own meare vj yeares old owne 
heffer ij yeares old and iij ferletts barlie owne ferlett wheat,  Itm I doe 
bequeathe to John my sonne owne ox iij years and owne boule barlie, 
Item I do bequeathe to Thomas my sone owne yonge meere ij yeers old 
and owne she bullocke a yeare old,  Itm I do bequeathe to my wyfe ij parts 
of my ridinge horse, and my exec: to have the third parte,  Itm to Sr John 
Clark owne yonge shep,  Itm my wyll is that my mother during her 
haturall lyffe shall have the same libertie wch she had before,  Itm I doe 
bequeathe to Stephen Dochartie a cowes gresse for ij yeares going as the 
goods uppon the farme,  Itm I doe bequeath to Kethrin my sister owne 
lambe or else xijd in money,  Itm my wyll is that yf yt please God to 
calle for any of the children before he come to the years of discretion 
that his goods be divided equally betwen the rest of my children, 
Itm I doe constutud and ordaine Wyllm Cowlye my sonne my true and 
lawfull exect: of all the rest of my goods (exceipt the shep wch I doe 
bequeath in equall portions to be divided betwen them all viz Wyllm 
Thomas John, and Anne Cowly,  Itm I appointe Wyllm Tere John Brew 
and Thomas Cowlie my brother supvisors
