NOTE, Manx for grand-(child) is 'e', pronounced 'oh', & perhaps when the scribe heard 'oes' spoken, he wrote 'OO', that is, 2 'O's. In EpW 1606E #029
Ballaugh will of Daniel/Donold Corlett, his grandchildren are called 'owes', an English word pronounced 'ohs'. It seems that the scribe, as he translated
from Manx to English (all wills at this time were to be written in English), heard 'oes' and wrote 'owes' or, as in this will, 'OO'.
