ManxWill 1611M #11 Lezayre will of Daniel / Donold Gill, written 14 March 1605/6, proved 21 February 1610/1:

(?grandchildren of testator) also: servant William Kinread, Edmund Corlett, Silvester Crowe curate was left Cooper's Dictionary bought in London, xxxx

NOTE, that Daniel/Donold has land in the Isle of Man (in Lezayre & in Andreas) as well as in England, plus a miln in the Isle of Man.
Mention of testator (age 60 in about 1600, born about 1535-1540): EpWills Court 1602 through 1605 regarding suits between Sir Nicholas Thompson clerk 
defendant (& Rector of Ballaugh 1598-1640, who was accused of simony, that is, of buying his appointment as rector from the Earl of Derby [who was patron 
of the rectory of Ballaugh] after agreeing to pay the Earl's servant Mr Lusher or Mr Danser of London £12 a year for it) & Sir Christopher Young clerk 
plaintiff (who said he was appointed to the Rectory by the lords of the privy counsel of the king of England), see Sentence made 1604 by Bishop George Lloyd, 
found at the beginning of the 1602 presentment books: Daniel Gill of Lezayre mentioned (age 60, 'Donold Killey alias Gill', see Killey and Gill once paid 
the yearly £12 Sir Nicholas Thompson agreed to pay to Mr Lusher for procurement of the rectory) in the depositions summarized 18 October 1602, in the 
court case against Sir Nicholas Thompson (clerk, rector of Ballaugh 1598-1640) for simony brought by Christopher Young clerk & plaintiff, per 1602-1605 
court documents regarding the simony of Sir Nicholas Thompson who apparently obtained the rectory by paying for it.
Son & great grandson: 1689 Liber Vastarum, Lezayre: William Gill had 8d rent in a mill (total rent 2s), and his grandchild William Killey/Gill surrendered 
his right to the miln to Mr Edward Christian, who was entered for the 8d rent in 1689.
1689 Liber Vastarum, Lezayre: Edmund Gill & William Gill had 2s 4d rent in a mill, and in 1689, William Gill & his wife Margery sold to William Crowe 14d 
of the rent.
Son William & granddau &c: 1655 Liber Vastarum, Lezayre: William Gill had farmland/quarterland in Alia Sulby treen (total rent 18s), and in 1655, 
his daughter Margaret Gill & her husband Edmund Kneale were in possession of land of 21d rent and were entered it.
?Son &c: 1658 Liber Vastarum, Lezayre: Daniel/Donold Gill had farmland of 9s 6d rent plus 2 parts of 1d rent in Alia Sulby treen (total rent 21s 6d), and 
in his life time he sold (in 1641) 6 1/2d single rent to John Corlett, father of Daniel/Donold Corlett; John was dead, and half the rent fell to his son 
Daniel/Donold who was entered for 3 1/4d rent, and the other half to William Scarff & his wife, who were entered for 3 1/4d rent.
?Son &c: 1658 Liber Vastarum, Lezayre: Daniel/Donold Gill had farmland in Alia Sulby treen (total rent 21s 6d), 
and he sold rent of 4s 9d to Robert Crowe, who was entered for it in 1664.
?See: 1691 Composition Book, Andreas: entry #48: William Killey was compounded in 1643 for farmland in Andreas, and in 1691, John Radcliffe was tenant 
of it, with lives in being: Christian Killey aged 69 years [born about 1622] & Margaret Killey aged 59 years [born about1632].
