ManxWill 1633M #08 Maughold will of Robert Casement, blacksmith, died 1633:
Summary: wife [Catharine Corkill] is not mentioned [she predeceased Robert], eldest son William (has a contract [he died 1649, ArW 1649A #065 Maughold],

Will of son: ArW 1649A #065 Maughold will of William Casement, died about 3 April 1649 intestate: not married, only brother Daniel/Donold (of age).

Maughold parish register: Daniel Casement married Cooney Kinread on 12 November 1665 Maughold.

Self & wife: 1606 Liber Assed:, Maughold, cottages [6d rent]: Robert Casement with wife [Catharine Corkill] had a chamber of 6d yearly rent.
Self & wife & sons: 1633 Liber Assed:, Maughold, cottages: William Casement & Daniel/Donold Casement, sons of Robert Casement & Catharine Corkill, were 
entered for the chamber of 6d yearly rent.
Self & sons: 1633 Liber Vastarum, Maughold: Robert Casement had cottages of 6d yearly rent, and he was dead so that his sons William Casement and Donold 
Casement were entered for it half and half, & xxxx sold the other 2s which is in the lease.
Sons: 1658 Liber Vastarum, Maughold: William Casement & younger brother Daniel/Donold Casement were entered for cottages of 6d yearly rent, but 'this rent 
is gone to decay', with the ground being wholy taken away by the sea. Therefore the rent was stopped and was 'in the lord's hand'.

Self & sons: 1633 Liber Vastarum, Maughold: Robert Casement blacksmith was entered for cottages of 3d yearly rent (total rent of the intack was 3d), and 
he was dead, so that his sons William Casement & Donold Casement were entered half and half for the cottages.
Sons &c: 1636 Liber Vastarum:, Maughold, Intacks: William Casement & Donold Casement were entered for intack land/a small croft of 3d rent (total rent 3d), 
and in 1636, John Cowle was entered for 1d rent, and William was withdraw from his part, and his younger brother Donold was entered for William's part & 
his own part, so that Donold was entered for 2s rent & John Cowle for 1d rent.
Son Don &c: 1639 Liber Assed:, Maughold, Intacks: entry #76: Donold Casement was entered for 2d rent of land/a small croft [of total 3d rent), 
& John Cowle for 1d of intack land of total rent of 3d.
Son Don &c: 1655 Liber Vastarum:, Maughold, Intacks: Donold Casement was entered for 1d yearly rent (total rent of the intack was 3d), 
and he sold the 1d rent to John Christian who was entered for it in 1655
Self & wife: 1606 Liber Assed, Maughold, Ramsey [12d rent]: Catharine Corkill & husband Robert Casement had a cabin/house in Ramsey of 12d yearly rent
Self & wife & sons: 1633 Liber Vastarum, Maughold: Ramsey: Catharine Corkill & husband Robert Casement had land/house in Ramsey of 12d rent (total rent 
12d) and in 1633, they were both dead, and their sons William Casement & Donold Casement were entered for equal parts of the rent in 1633.
Sons: 1633 Liber Vastarum, Maughold: Ramsey [12d rent]: Donold Casement [& elder brother William Casement were entered half and half] for land/house in 
Ramsey of 12 yearly rent, and in 1634, Thomas Casement was entered for 6d with William Casement by the consent of William Casement and his younger 
brother Donold Casement.
Son William &c: 1644 Liber Vastarum, Maughold: Ramsey [12d rent]: Willam Casement had rent in Ramsey, and in 1644 Catharine Knickle/Knakill was entered 
for 2d of the rent by a bill of sale [NOTE, William died 1649 without children, & brother Donold/Daniel inherited his goods].
1657 Liber Vastarum, Maughold, Ramsey [12d rent]: William Casement had 4d rent & Catharine Knickle/Knakill had 2d rent of a total rent of 12d in Ramsey, 
and in 1657, Michael Camaish was entered for 3d rent (2d from contract bargain from xxxx Casement alias Stole/Stowell who was wife of William Casement) 
& also for 2d rent which was sold to him by Catharine Knickle, so that Michael Camaish had 5d rent & William Casement had 1d rent.
Son Daniel/Donold &c: 1644 Liber Vastarum, Maughold: Ramsey [12d rent]: Thomas Casement had rent in Ramsey, and Donold Kneale bought 6d rent from Thomas 
Casement, and Donold Kneale now wanted Edward Corkill to be entered for the 6d rent who was in possession thereof and had paid the rent for several years.
Self & wife: 1606 Liber Assed:, Maughold, Intacks: entry #1 [4s rent]: Catharine Corkill & husband Robert Casement have a parcel of intack of 4s yearly 
rent.
Self & wife & sons: 1633 Liber Vastarum, Maughold: Catharine Corkill & husband Robert Casement had a parcel of intack of 4s yearly rent, and they were 
both dead by 1633, so that William their eldest son was entered for 2s of the rent, and son Donold was entered for the other half during the lease in 
being & then the right of his 2s returns to the eldest brother William.
Son Daniel & kinswoman Jane: 1633 Liber Vastarum, Maughold: Donold Casement was entered of intack land of 2s yearly rent (total rent of the land was 4s), 
and he entered Jane Woods for 3d of his 2s rent; the 3d rent was for a parcel of ground called the Long [sic, Leay] Close.
Son Daniel & kinswoman Jane: 1634 Liber Vastarum, Maughold: Donold Casement was some intack of 16d yearly rent, 
and he sold 8d of the rent to Jane Woods who was entered for this 8d rent in 1634.
Son William & William Sumpter: 1633 Liber Vastarum, Maughold: William Casement was had intack land of 4s yearly rent, and William Sumpter was entered 
for 6d rent by the consent of William & by virtue of a bill of sale; the land for 6d rent was for a parcel of the Lough and half a meadow called Small 
xxxx which they have marked out, and this to William Sumpter, his heirs & assigns forever.
Son William &c: 1636 Liber Vastarum, Maughold: William Casement was entered for 18d yearly rent for intack land (total rent of land of 4s), 
and he sold 12d rent to Henry Christian who was entered for it in 1636.
William Sumpter &c: 1639 Liber Assed:, Maughold, Intacks: entry #1: William Sumpter was entered for 6d rent, 
Henry Christian for 18d rent & Richard Fox for 2s rent of intack land of total rent of 4s.
