witnesses: Patrick [Thompson] & Margaret C[annell], QUESTION, was son William dead by this time, & so his two children Bahie & Robert (presuming they are
his children) were each given a legacy?
?Son: Episcopal will books 1660-1665 Braddan, will of Edward Curghey.
?Grandson: Braddan parish register: William Curghie son of Edward Curghie buried 5 January1636/7
?Son: Episcopal will books 1647-1650 Braddan? or Santan?, will of John Curghey.
QUESTION: The testator indicates he has farmland, but there are no Curghey's with farms in Braddan. However, there is a William Curghey with farmland in
neighboring Marown Parish, in Saurebrek treen, which borders on Braddan. Also, Santan Parish also borders Braddan Parish, and Hawe treen shares borders
with Braddan and with Saurebrek treen in Marown Parish. Are these the farmlands to which the testator is referring? In 1666, Edward renewed the rent,
with his son Thomas registered as the life in being; he appears to have died soon after (Episcopal will books 1660-1665 Braddan, will of Edward Curghey)?
In the will, Edward was left a quarterland (the farm in Marown, Saurebrek treen?), & John was left half a quarterland (the farm in Santan, Hawe treen?)
(The farm Lhergy/Ballalargy is a half quarterland farm in Hawe treen and abutts Braddan Parish & Saurebrek treen in Marown).
