Archdeacon Will 1663A #073 Braddan will of Ann Oates alias Caralaugh, died 5 February 1663/4, intestate: 
Summary: husband xxxx Caralaugh is not mentioned, only son Patrick Caralaugh, pledges: Robert Quay & Thomas Cown.
Braddan parish register: An Oats als Caralagh,  buried 20 January 1663/64.
Son: Braddan parish register: Patrick Kerralagh buried 10 August 1707, Episcopal Will.
   Grandson: Braddan parish register: Ro: Caralagh son of Patt: Caralagh, illegit: buried 5 January 1671/2.
Dau in law: Braddan parish register: Avrick Caralagh als Tagart buried 22 March 1695/6.
Will of dau in law: ArW 1695A #48 Braddan will of Averick Caralaugh alias Taggart, died 22 March 1695/6: husband Patrick Caralaugh (died 1707, Episcopal 
Will), son William, son James, dau Joney, grandson Patrick Caralaugh, granddau Jane Caralaugh; witnesses Daniel/Donold Kneale & John Steane/Stephen, 
pledges: Daniel Kneale & brother? Henry Taggart, also: nephew? John Cubbon entered a claim for 16s due him (Averick's sister Ann married xxxx Cubbon, & 
Ann died about 1674.
   Granddau: Braddan parish register: An Caralagh daughter of Pat: Caralagh buried 21 September 1659.
   Will of father of dau in law:  ArW 1663A #089 Braddan will of Walter Taggart, died 3 April 1664: wife is not mentioned, illegitimate son Paul Taggart; 
   dau Ann (married xxxx Cubbon, their son William, Ann's will decree EpW 1674 Braddan wills), dau Margaret (married Philip Cannell), dau Averick (married 
   Patrick Caralaugh, their son Thomas); son Henry Taggart exec [Henry married Ann [?Callin] about 1664, dau Averick born 1665, & they all died in a fire 
   in 1667, per Braddan parish register]; grandson Christopher Taggart (son of Henry); witnesses: Richard Cottier & Robert Quine, pledges: Gilbert Creer & 
   John Gelling,  NOTE, son Henry's dau Jane died 1680 (ArW 1680A #05 Braddan) & her brother Christopher is mentioned in her will as is her uncle in law 
   Philip Cannell.
NOTE: per AW Moore, in Manx Names, an English family named 'Careful' migrated to the Isle of Man in the late 1500s, and their name was translated to, and 
became, 'Caralaugh'. Later, in the late 1700s, the name was Anglicized back to its original 'Careful'.
