Archdeacon Will 1661A #091 Andreas will of Catharine Christian alias Cottier, died 24 April 1663, intestate:
Summary: husband [Henry] Christian is alive [they married in 1662], only son William Christian; supervisors brother in law Richard Brew for his wife xxxx
Cottier, & sister Christian Cottier & sister Bahie Cottier (not in court, to be sworn at home), & sister Joney Cottier less than 21 years old, pledges:
Edward Corlett & John Craine. NOTE, that Joney is not old enough yet to take her part of the tuition/raising of the son William, which suggests that she
is less than 21 years old but, per her father's will [ArW 1661A #090 Andreas will of Christopher Cottier], at least 14 years old & not needing a supervisor
for her legacy.
Andreas parish register: Catharine Cottier married Henry Christian in March 1662 in Andreas.
Sister: Andreas parish register: Jony Cotter dau of Xtpher Cotter bur 24 Jan 1663/4.
Will of sister: ArW 1663A #026 Andreas will of Joney Cottier, died 1 February 1663/4, intestate: not married, 3 sisters Christian & Joney the elder & Bahie
Cottier, pledges: Daniel Cormode & Ewan Kewn, NOTE, there appear to be two Joney's in the family, the testator who is not married, and the other Joney who
appears to be married to Richard Brew when information from sister Catharine's will (ArW 1661A #091 Andreas) is considered.
Will of father: ArW 1661A #090 Andreas will of Christopher Cottier of Ballacottier, died 16 April 1663: 1st wife [Ann Kneale died 1631, her will ArW 1631A
#099 Andreas], 2nd wife is not mentioned, children by 1st wife: dau Catharine Cottier (died 24 Apr 1663, married [in 1662 to Henry] Christian, only child
William Christian; her will ArW 1661A #091), dau Christian Costeen alias Cottier entered a claim, children by 2nd wife: dau Joney Cottier, dau Bahie Cottier
(left only 6d), brother William, son in law Richard Brew paid for the winding sheet & other funeral expenses, also: the old moar James Crenilt & the young
moar John Kneale, also debts owed to William Cleator & Philip Brew & John Cormode, witnesses: William Teare & John Huddlestone, also: the testator sold a
croft to Daniel Costeen forever, NOTE, in his will, Christopher does not name daughter Christian nor appear to mention Joney the elder (the oldest Joney
who is married, though son in law & her husband? Richard Brew is mentioned as owed a debt because he paid for the winding sheet & other funeral expenses),
but Christian entered a claim, and she is mentioned in sister Catharine's will, as is Joney the younger & brother in law Richard Brew who could only be
related to Joney the elder who was not mentioned but who is mentioned in the will of Joney the younger (ArW 1663A #026 Andreas).
Will of mother: ArW 1631A #099 Andreas will of Ann Cottier alias Kneale, died 24 A----- 1631, intestate: husband Christopher Cottier [died 1663, ArW 1661A
