Archdeacon Will 1663A #043 Maughold will of Christopher Fayle, died of smallpox on 19 January 1663/4:
Summary: wife [Ann Mylchreest] is not mentioned [died 1645, her will recorded in Braddan, ArW 1664A #61 Braddan], dau Margaret & son Edmund, Isabel Quay
owns a house with him; witnesses: John Christian & Isabel Quay, pledges: John Christian & John Christian.
Maughold parish register: Xtopher Fayle, died of small pox, buried 20 January 1663/4.
See: the wife of Christopher Fayle was mentioned (left a petticoat & waistcoat & shoes & stockings) in will of Isabel Christian alias Christian, will 1642A
#65 Maughold.
See: Christopher Fayle was a witness to the will of Margaret Corkill als Stean/Stephen als Christian will 1649A #070 Maughold.
Will of wife: ArW 1644A #61 Braddan will of Ann Fayle alias Mylchreest/McYlchreest, died 1645: husband [Christopher] Fayle is not mentioned [died 1663/4,
ArW 1663A #043 Maughold], has 2 children [Margaret & Edmund], father: John Mylchreest, witnesses: father John Mylchreest & Elizabeth/Bessy Kemaine, pledge:
John Mylchreest. NOTE, this will was among the Braddan wills, but the Mylchreest family lived mostly in German Parish during the 1600s, with one person in
Marown Parish in 1628 (Catharine Mylchreest will 1628A #14 Marown, not married), and a family in Bride (Catharine Mylchreest alias Kneale will 1655A #07
Bride, husband Ronald Mylchreest), and Mallooney Mylchreest in Lezayre (Mallooney Mylchreest will 1660A #44 Lezayre. Nor is Ann's burial recorded in
Braddan Parish. Therefore, Ann is probably from German Parish, and married Christopher Fayle, & they lived in Maughold Parish. The Fayle family lived mostly
in the northern Island in the 1600s. NOTE, that Christopher's wife was alive in 1642 per ArW of Isabel Christian alias Christian, will 1642A #65 Maughold.
When Christopher died in 1664, his wife was dead, & their two children were his executors.
