often used interchangeably in the early and mid 1600s.  NOTE also, that often by the late 1600s, Gill had morphed into Gell.
1644 presentment Michael:  Ellin Corkan & John Teare have affair, 1644 presentment Michael, dated 11 Feb 1644/5.
