Archdeacon Will 1663A #059 Maughold will of Ellin Nicholson alias Curghey, died 16 March 1663/4:
Summary: husband xxxx Nicholson is alive, son & heir xxxx underage, youngest son William Nicholson, brother & supervisor Edmund Curghey (has children), 
also: Joney Curghey, Joney Kneen/Creen (Ellin wants Joney to take care of her 2 children, & she entered a claim for 10s), also: William Nicholson entered a 
claim for 28s & keeping a beast for a year, witnesses: Robert Christian & Joney Christian &  Margaret Garrett, pledges: David Quayle of Ramsey & John Kewn.
1660 Liber Vastarum, Maughold: William Nicholson had intack of 2d rent belonging to Cornaa More treen, & it had become waste so that it was returned to the 
hands of the lord.
1662 Liber Vastarum, Maughold: Catharine Nicholson had rent in Ramsey of 1 1/2d rent, she was dead as was her husband John Moore, and the rent fell to her 
daughter Catharine Moore, who with her husband James Corlett sold the 1 1/2d rent to Robert Carnaghan, for 16s, which was satisfied & paid.

being the surviving life, the fine was now said to be renewed.

   Corlett & Ed Crowe.
