dated 15 October 1664 & signed by son James Kermode seems to indicate that the father/testator James is dead by this time.

Self & wife:  Margaret Kermode als Kissage wife of James Kermode, they entered a claim for £4 each (total of £8) against the executors of Hugh Kissage,

QUESTION: James & Margaret were probably married about 1630 to 1635, with children born about every 2 1/2 years from that time.
Self: 1657 Liber Vastarum, Lonan: James Kermode had rent of 3d for firma brass, 
and delivered the pann to Philip Moore who was entered for the 3d rent in 1657.
Self etc: 1657 Liber Vastarum, Lonan: James Kermode had rent for cottages of 6d rent & sold to William Christian of KnockRushen 
who was dead & his wife Mary Christian alias Lucas & William's executors are not to come forward for the same.
Self: 1659 Liber Vastarum, Lonan: Ewan Scarff had a parcel of intack land of 3/4d yearly rent, 
and James Kermode now held the right for it and was entered for it in 1659.
