Archdeacon Will 1667A #53 Rushen will of Ellinor Corrin alias Nelson / Kneale, died 2 January 1667/68:

Maddrell, Elizabeth Watterson, Edward Posley, James & Isabel Qualtrough, Ann Kermode alias Gell, Henry Kermode, Henry Corkish & wife.

regarding a crop of corn from Henry's mother: The the Right Revrend Samuell Rutter Archdeacon of the Isles of Man, and the rest of the Revrend clergie: 
Shewinge, that wheras there is a contrarsie in suite betwixt yor orator, and Wm Corrin and yor orators sister concerning a croppe of corne due from yor 
peticonrs mother, wch yor orator howldeth not due to them, And thefore appealeth from the clergie censure to be tried by the staffe of Govrmt, and the rest 
of the Temporall officers, and this hee humbly praeth. Yor humble peticonr, Henry Nelson: This appeale is accepted of, & the proceedings is s----ed unto[?] 
the app--- returne an a----- therof, pvded it be within a month ensueing the date hereof Dated 30th May 1645.
Will of brother:  ArW 1676A #35 Rushen will of Gilbert Nelson, dated 19 October 1676: wife Isabel xxxx is alive, dau Catharine (of age), dau Isabel (in 
Ireland), dau Christian (underage), son; also: Henry Kermode; witness: Elizabeth Nelson & ---- Thompson; pledges: William Gawne & John Kinry/Harrison.
NOTE: Kneale and Nelson are used interchangeably during this time, with some families, such as here (Ellinor whose surname is 'Nelson', but her brothers' 
surnames recorded both as 'Nelson' and as 'Kneale') and in ArW 1661A #87 German of Margaret Mylchreest alias Gawne als Kneale/Nelson. Also, the form 
'Nelson' seems to have been more common in Rushen parish, and 'Kneale' in other parishes.
