inventory  [father is Philip Stephen, ArW 1665A #036 Ballaugh].
Will of father: ArW 1665A #036 Ballaugh will of Philip Stephen/Steane, died 13 February 1664/5 intestate: wife alive (alive still in 1685); son Philip & 
son John (dead by Oct 1685 [his will ArW 1668A #54 Ballaugh]); sisters Ellin Stephen/Stean & sister Isabel Stephen/Stean are supervisors. by 24 Oct 1685: 
only son Philip was alive & was of age, pledges: Gibbon/Gubbon Craine & Phinlo Garrett.   
Uncle: Ballaugh parish register: Thomas Steane  buried 20 April 1665.
Will of uncle: ArW 1665A #037 Ballaugh will of Thomas Steane, died 19 April 1666: wife Margaret Craine (exec); sister Isabel, sister Ellin, brother Philip 
(his 2 sons Phinlo [sic, Philip] & John); also: Joney Craine, witnesses: John Stephen & John Cowley, pledges: Daniel Clark & John Stephen.

John Steane departed ys life intested about ye 6th of J----[torn edge]
1668, whereof the Church havinge intelligence have decreed
her only brother Ffinlo Steane supvisor & the Ants one the 
father side supvisor vizt: Issable & Ellin Steane:   the I----[torn edge] 
included in the fathers Invent, & ye next of kindred beinge sup----[torn edge] 
are sworne then also

The Court fees to be deducted out of ye Invent:
