Archdeacon Will 1668A #04 Onchan will of Frances Shimmin alias Cowin, died 15 November 1668: 
Summary: husband John Shimmin is alive, son Philip Shimmin (died December 1669), dau Margaret (died December 1669), father Thomas Cawn/Cown/Cowin, 
witnesses: Thomas Thwaites & John Conyll/Conalt,  NOTE, that the father 'Tho Cowne' declared that there was 12s 6d left to discharge debts,  NOTE also, 
that the husband John Shimmin has custody of the goods of Philip, and gave as pledge Edmund Kexxxx, & the father 'Tho: Cowin' had custody of the goods 
of Margaret & gave as pledge James Quill.

Son: Onchan parish register: Philip Shimmin son of John Shimmin christened 8 January 1664/5 in Onchan. 
Son: Onchan parish register: Philip Shimin infant buried 10 December 1668. Episcopal will jointly with sister Margaret.  
Dau: Onchan parish register: Margret Shimin dau of Joh: Shimin  christened on 10 February 1666/7 in Onchan. 
Dau: Onchan parish register: Margret Shimin infant buried 15 December 1668 Episcopal will jointly with brother Philip.
