Archdeacon Will 1669A #106 Lezayre will of William Scarff, died 11 February 1699/70: 
Summary: wife alive, eldest dau Elizabeth/Bessy, little daughters Catharine senior & Catharine junior, son Ewan, witnesses & pledges: William Knickle & 
Edmund Corlett.    
?Self & wife & father in law & brother in law: 1658 Liber Vastarum, Lezayre: Daniel/Donold Gill had farmland of 9s 6d rent plus 2 parts of 1d in Alia 
Sulby treen (total rent 21s 6d), and while he was alive he sold [?in 1641] 6 1/2d single rent to John Corlett the father of Daniel/Donold Corlett, & 
John Corlett was dead, so that half of the rent, that is 3 1/4d yearly rent, fell to son Daniel Corlett and the other half to William Scarff & his wife, 
who were entered for the rents in 1658.
?Wife: Episcopal will 1702 Lezayre, will decree of Catharine Scarff alias Corlett.
?son & father in law: 1678 Liber Vastarum, Lezayre: John Corlett had farmland [?or intack] of 14d rent in Corrack treen (total rent 14d), and Ewan was 
in possession of it and paid the rent and so was entered for it in 1678.  
?Son: Lezayre parish register: Ewan Scarff buried 30 December 1717.

Kneen, also: he owed money to William Corlett & young John Quayle & William Corlett & William Kerruish & Ewan Kneale, witnesses: William Sayle & Ellinor 
Criggal, supervisors: [husband of niece Christian Kneen, md 1710/1] Daniel Cowle & William Kneen [married Catharine Scarff about 1685] & the mother, 
pledges: Ewan Kneale & Ewan Corlett. 
   Sister of Ewan: Catharine Scarff married William Kneen about 1685 Lezayre:   
   Jurby parish register: Thomas son of William Kneen & Catharine Scarff christened 27 Mar 1687 in Jurby. 
   Niece of Ewan: Lezayre par reg: Christian Kneen married to Daniel Cowle on 3 Feb 1710/1 in Lezayre.

Trinitie Ayre 1669 This is affirmed to be ye last will and testamt: of Wm Scarfe being in pfect memory: Imprs: hee committed his souile to God, and his body to Christian buriall. Ittm: he bequeathed to his eldest daughter Bessie 5s Legacie. Itt: hee bequeathed to his 2 little daughters: Katherin senr & Katherin junr a cow calfe a yeare at May next, and what other trifles was in the house, and an ewe; Ittm: hee bequeathed to his sone Ewan 3 horses and a cow, and his pt of ye sheepe; Ittm: hee bequeathed likewise to his sd sone the Lands, wth all ye husbandry geares (that is to say his pt) belonging; Ittm: left some moneys due from Will Gill for a piece of Land to pay ye above Legacie to his Daughtr, and to pay funrll charges and his other debts.
