son is to be the heir, [her will ArW 1728A #49 Rushen]), son in law John Quayle (Robert owed him 10s still [probably dowry money], he married Isabel Quayle in Feb 
1676/7, she died 1680, ArW 1680A #11 Malew); witnesses & pledges: John Watterson & Philip Carown, NOTE:  By law / custom on Isle of Man, if a woman is made executrix 
and her husband is alive, then he is sworn in her stead. That Isabel was sworn executrix in this will is a clear indication that her husband (Edward) was dead.
