7: Bee it known unto all men by these presents, that I Christian Maddrell als Norris widdow, divers good causes and valuable consji----- me thereunto moreing, and 
more especially out of the great love and affection wch I doe bear unto my welbeloved son James Maddrell of Castletown shoemaker, who hath not only been the chiefe 
---- and assistance wch I have had ever since my husband's decease, but also hath behaved himselfe towards me in the most dutifull manner that a son could doe, and 
haveing good assurance that he will continue his sd filiall duty towards me, and be the only support that I can rely and depend upon now in my aged condicon, Have 
therefore given grant and estated, and doe by these presents as my free and voluntary Deed of Gifft give grant estate, all my part of the houses and garden wherein 
now I live, with all other my goods moveable and unmoveable whatsoever, be it of what kind or nature, or by what name or names soever distinguished, unto my said 
loveing son James Maddrell his heyres exrs: Admrs: and assignes, execpting only five shillings wch I do reserve unto myselfe to be disposed of unto my son Charles 
Maddrell after my decease:  To have and to hold the said houses, gardes goods moveable and unmoveable to him the sd James Maddrell his heyres exrs: admrs: and 
assignes for ever, without the lett stopp hindrance, disturbance, or molestacon of me the sd Christian Maddrell my exrs: or admrs: or any othe person or persons 
whatsoever claming from or under me or in my behalfe; And for present possession liveing ---seizin of all and singular the premisses,  Have at the signing sealing 
and delivery of these presents given unto my said son James Maddrell a peece of silver called six pence, to invest and estate him in the re--- right and propriety 
of the premisses, according to the true intent & meaning of these presents,  And I doe declare this my Deed of Gift to stand & remaine unto the said James Maddrell 
irrevocable never to be altered or recalled by any other Deed, will or testament, In wittness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seall and 
bound my selfe for the performance of all the premisses in the penalty of ten pounds ster: this 6th day of May 1691, Christian Madrell als Norris her mark X, sealed
