German 1681 In the name of God Amen: The last will & testam------[dark edge] =rick Corras, who is sick in body but of perfect memorie pra------[dark edge] God. first he committs his soul to God and his body to Christian ------[dark edge] It: he doth declare for truth as he shall answer ye -------- Judge ------[dark edge] the tenn pounds wch he acknowledged to have received from Ja------[dark edge] Cowle in the marriage Contract betwixt of Cowle & his daughter, was a ------[dark edge] cheat & delusion, for he never received any summe penny or penny ------[dark edge] of ye sd tenn pounds; but was surprized to acknowledge ye same & to give parcell of his land as it were in mortgage for ye same purposely to ------[dark edge] fraud ye heir apparent then, though since dead, for wch his unjust complain--------[dark edge] their wicked proposition he humbly & heartily craves pardon of God & ------[dark edge] It: he doth declare yt John Shimin senr: doth owe him six shilling------[ edge] It: he doth declare yt his daughter Cathrine doth him five shillings ------[ edge] a bowle of barley wch barley & moneys he bequeaths to her in legacie ------[ edge] if he live[?] of ye bowle of barley he will only take a firlett; It: he le------[ edge] to John Quaile 12d in legacie; It: to his grandchild Jane Moore a red petticoate; Itm: to Alice Mclechrist a sheep; It: to Thomas Mclec------[ edge] a sheep; It: he doth declare yt he paid of his own moneys three sh------[ edge] more then ye goods of John Quaile did extend to pay his debts, & therefore ------[ edge] his son John Quaile cannot claime any thing of him. It: he leaves to Willm: Dawson a yellow bock of four years old in legacie, desireing him to see his daughter suffer no wrong. It: to Willm Corras his new coat, de= sireing his oversight with Willm: Dawson of his Executrx; It: he leave eight shillings to be expended on his funerall at ye house & in towne.
