Summary: wife is alive, they have a son less than 21 years old, sister's son left 6d, overseer Daniel Mylrea also: John Cowley & 
his brother, witnesses: Philip Cottiam & William Boddaugh, pledges: Philip Cottiam & Nicholas Craine, sumner Edmund Cowle.

The last will and testament of Wm: Steane ------ ------ [dark & edge]  
Life the 29th of November 1682   first he commited his -----[dark] 
and his body to Christian buriel;    Item he left and bequeathed ----[dark] 
part of  to his wife his part of a cow for Legasie and he le---[dark]   
whole estaite to his for the space and tim  wif untill his ---[dark]  
should be one & twentie years of age and she for to mentane ----[dark]   
and if so be that God it please God to call his child afore that 
tim exepired she for to have his estaite dureing her life and he left 
his sisters son six pence legasie or a Lam against May next    Item 
he left and bequeathe to John Cowley and his brother half a h----[dark & edge]   
that was in ye hous and if any should com for to claime any 
right in his goods that they should have six pence legasie and 
he constituted and ordained his son to be his lawfull exeku 
tor of all the rest of his goods moveable and unmovable 

and he left Daniel Maclrea for to be overseer of his ch----[edge]   
and he left him a mutone Legasie
