Summary: wife [Ann Christian] is dead [her will ArW 1679A #02 Onchan], dau Isabel (of age by October 1694 & married to Robert Quilliam), 
dau Ann (married William Brew by 1688, he died by 1694), son John (of age), son James (of age), illegitimate son John, witnesses: 
Ewan Gill/Gell & Bahie Cottier, pledges Mr William Parker & Hugh Banks.
Will of wife: ArW 1679A #02 Onchan will of Ann Oates alias Christian, died 9 February 1679/80, buried in the Chancell of KK Onchan: husband John Oates [this will], 
son & heir John Oates (wife Mary Cottier, son John), son James Oates (married to [Jane Christian heiress of Glencrutchery], dau Ann), daus Ann & Isabel, witnesses: 
Thomas Thwaites & John Bell, pledges James Oates and John Christian.
Son: 1680 Liber Vastarum Onchan: William Christian had a quarterland [Glencrutchery] of 15s 4d rent in Tromode treen, and was long since 
dead by 1680, and the title descended to daughter Jane by inheritance, and in 1680, she and her husband James Oates were entered for it.

the title descended to daughter Jane by inheritance, and in 1680, she and her husband James Oates were entered for it.
Son: Onchan parish register: James Oates of Glanchruttery buried 28 June 1705 Episcopal will. 
Dau in law: Onchan parish register: Jain Oates als Christian Glencruttere buried 21 Septemer 1692. Note, Jane apparently 
died in childbirth, since daughter Mary Oates was christened the same day Jane was buried.
