was to give 4s 6d per year to David Christian during the life of Averick Quay alias Oates and to keep the house in sufficient repair, and after the death of Averick 
[she died 1696], Thomas Stephen was to pay £3 9s 6d (in 3 installments) in consideration of which £3 10s 6d the said David Christian & wife Isael Christian alias 
Oates sold their interest in the said house to Thomas Stephen, witnesses: James Radcliffe & Philip Lewaige X & William Craine X & William Flexney; 1704: Isabel

Augt: ye 10th 1683 In the name of God, Amen. It Philip Moore of Duglass being sick in bodie, but of perfect memorie, praised be God doe make this my last will & testament in manner following: first, I committ my soul unto God who gave it and to Jesus Christ our blessed Saviour who redeemed it, in stedfast hope of its salvation through his merits & mediation; and my bodie to be buried in the pa= rish Church of KK Conchan in or near unto ye grave of my father Phil= lip Moore, in sure Confidence of a joyfull Resurrection at ye last and happy day of ye faithfull & elect children of God. I bequath to the poore of this towne tenne shillings, and to Mr Henry Lowcay tenne shillings desireing him to preach my funerall sermon. Itm: I be= queath to my son Philip all ye houses & gardens wch were in my fathers posession with Wilsons Lands & Humhreyes, and the meadow bought of John Quilliam of KK Marown, all which particulare I estate upon him as heirship, & if he die before he come to ye age of 21 yeares, or after without issue, the premises are to descend & goe as heirship to ye eldest daughter: to wch my wife Alice hath consented reserving to herself the halfe of all ye premises during her naturall life & then to be en= joyed by ye heir a aforesd; and I doe also leave unto my said son Philip fifteene pounds as legacie, wch he is to forfeit to the rest of my children if he marrie before one & twentie yeares without the Con= sent & approbation of his overseers & guardians whom I shall hereafter mention. Itm: I bequeath to my daughter Ellin thirtie pounds; wch 30£ shall returne to ye rest of the children if it shall happen she come to be heir & enjoy what is here left him. Itm: I bequeath to my daughter Barbarie tenne pounds to that 20£ wch he hath at use wth xxxx I xxxxxx xxxxxx xxxx Ballakegin Itm: I bequeath to the rest of my children Issabell Margrett & Christian twentie pounds a peice, leaving them to my wifes tendernesse & discretion to be further augmented: All wch Legacies are to be paid unto them as their Supervisors & guardians shall think fitt for them. Itm: I bequeath unto my cosen John Barrey all reckonings claimes debts & demands yt he either owe me or I might ave against him freeing him from any claime of myne Executrs: on this account. Itm: I leave to my maidservant Mally Clerk tenne shilings legacie. Itm: I leave to my brother James Moore a gold ring & to my sister Elizabeth another both wch my wife knows to be in the house. Itm: I further bequeath ye ring which my mother left me to my heir as an erldome. Itm: I ordaine my loving wife Alice, my cosen John Barrey, & my brother in law Sam: Watleworth supervisors and guardians of my foresaid children till the come to ye age of 21 yeares. Lastly I doe constitute & appoint my foresaid wifemy lawfull Ex= ecutrx: of all the rest of my goods moveable & unmoveable, willing her to performe this my last will & testamt: in all pticulars, & also em= powring her to keep all ye said Legacies with ye Children untill ye come to ye age of 21 yeares, or until she & ye other supervisors doe otherwise see best for ye good of all & every of my children.
