KK Bride Aprill 20th 1685 In nomine Dei Amen I William Joughin being sick in body but in memory sound and perfect, praised bee God; Do make my last Will and Testamt: in form following. Imprmis: I command my soul unto God and my body to Christian buriall. Itm: I appoint so much drink as is ready in the house to bee used at my own funerall. Itm: I leave to my 2 children Ewan, John, and the child that is upon my wives beareing ten shillings apiece to help them to a Trade. Itm: I leave ye Land to my son Ewan when he comes to age, but if it please God to call for ye said Ewan before he come to age that then the said land shall descend to his next Brother and in like case to the third brother or sister. Itm: I leave to ye Curate 1s. To Dan: Christian 6d. Itm: I leave upon Mark Joughin to pay 2s unto my Executor which I lent him. Itm: Dan Christian oweth me 20s which I leave to my Executr. Itm: Charles Cowle oweth me 20s And Mr Edw: Nelson 2-s all which I leave to my Executr: Itm: Wm Kneale oweth me 6s being ye part of the price of an ox.
