Archdeacon Will 1684A #046 Onchan will of Nicholas Quark, dated 24 April 1685: 
Summary: uncle John Quark (has a son), executor Captain Patrick Christian, witnesses: John Shimmin & Mary Parker, pledge: Mr Ewan Christian

		Conchan Aprill ye 24th 1685

This is affirmed to be ye last will and Testamt: of Nicholas Quarke 
who was then in perfect memory  First he committed his soul into the 
hands of Allmighty God and his body to Christian buriall.  Itt: he 
left to his uncle John Quark 6d Legacy.  Itt: to his uncles son 6d 
legacy if they or either of the did claim any right to his Executor
ship.  Itt: he constituted and appointed Capt Patrick Christian 
to be his true and lawfull Executor of all the rest of his Goods 
vizt: his house and garden in Duglas and wt other things soever 
was due unto him movable and unmovable;  His sd Executor ----
ing some body to look to him dureing his sickness and when -----
he ridding him to the Ground
