Archdeacon Will 1687A #23 German will of Samuel Radcliffe, soldier, dated 2 April 1687: 
Summary: wife [Ann Knight] is alive [died 1722], dau Margaret/Peggy underage, another child [John] underage [died 1704], mother in law [Ann Knight alias Wattleworth] 
is alive [died 1696]; supervisor Caesar Wattleworth; witnesses: Thomas Dawson & Catharine Young & Samuel Wattleworth, NOTE, supervisor Caesar Wattleworth is the brother 
of Ann Wattleworth who married Mr John Knight, who died about 1676 (Episcopal Will) & is probably the father of Ann Knight, the testator's wife.
German parish register: Sam: Radcliffe buried 5 April 1687.
German parish register: Sam Radcliffe married Ann Knight on 9 December 1679 in German.
Wife: German parish register: Anne Radcliffe als Knight  buried 11 October 1722, Episcopal will.
Son: German parish register: John Ratcliff son of Ann Knight buried 10 September 1704.
Will of son: ArW 1705A #43 Peel, German will of John Radcliffe, died 10 November 1704: 43: Peeltown, He dyed the 10th of Novr 1704: This is to affirm that we were 
by and in place when and where John Ratcliff of this Town of Peel, upon his Death bed in perfect mind and memory uttered these words following as his Last Will and 
Testamt, vizt: Being put in mind that he was adyeing man and also askt how he would dispose of his worldly effect, he answered, that what effects he had he left and 
bequeathed the same to his mother. witnesses present: Cesar Watleworth, Tho Ratliffe, jurati, The Exrx: sworn in form of Law, pbatum est &c. The Inventory secundum 
in the fathers will. Att Peel, June the 6th 1705: Prov'd before me, Sam: Watleworth Ard; 
Father in law: Episcopal will books 1676 German, will of John Knight.
     Libri Irrotulamentorum 1668-1722: John Knight, lieutenant, was appointed as constable on 5 July 1699.
Mother in law: German parish register: Ann Knight als Watleworth buried 5 August 1696 ?no will.
   Mother of Ann Knight als Wattleworth: EpW 1670E #049 German will of Barbara Wattleworth alias Caesar, died 14 March 1669/70: husband John Wattleworth (died July 
   1670, EpW 1670E #050 German), son Caesar Wattleworth, dau Margaret, dau Alice (has a contraction bargain [to Philip Moore her 1st husband who died 1684, & she 
   remarried to James Banks]), dau Ann (married to Mr John Knight), son Samuel (not on the Island, was he in England or Ireland studying for the priesthood?); also 
   Elizabeth/Bessy Kermode, Mrs Ann Harrison, witnesses: Alexander Young & William Ellison & Michael Callin & Michael Cross, pledges: Richard Quirk & William Dawson. 
      Father of Ann Knight als Wattleworth: EpW 1670E #050 German will of John Wattleworth of Peel, died 30 July 1670: wife Barbara Caesar died 14 March 1669/70 (see 
      EpW 1670E #049), dau Ann Knight als Wattleworth (married Mr John Knight), dau Alice, dau Margaret, son Caesar, son Samuel executor (living off the Island, was 
      he in England or Ireland studying for the priesthood?), cousin [ ?/ nephew] John Wattleworth of Castletown, witnesses & pledges: William Gell & Henry Radcliffe, 
      and also Richard Quirk & William Dawson.

1671 Liber Vastarum, German: Robert Bridson had cottages in Villa de Holme / Peel of 3d yearly rent, & he was long dead, with the said 
3d rent divided between his executors, & through their attorney they sold the 3d rent to John Knight who was entered for it in 1671.
1705 Liber Vastarum, German: Sam/Samuel Radcliffe had a parcel of intack / houses & gardens of 3d yearly rent (total rent 6d), and the right of this rent 
falling to his widow Ann Radcliffe alias Knight by virtue of her said husband Samuel's will & her son John Radcliffe's last will & testament, she has sold 
the same to Henry Radcliffe, bearing the date of 10 October 1704, & Henry was entered for it in October 1705.
   1706 Liber Vastarum, German: Ann [Radcliffe alias] Knight had a parcel of intack land / houses & gardens of 3d yearly rent, & Henry Radcliffe & 
   his wife Ellin purchased it with another parcel of 6d rent, and Henry was now dead, so that his widow and children (Henry & Jane & Richard) were 
   entered for it, and the children to pay for a fine for their half of 15d.
1705 Liber Vastarum, German: Sam/Samuel Radcliffe had a parcel of intack land / houses & gardens of 6d yearly rent, and the right of it 
falling to his widow Ann Radcliffe alias Knight by virtue of her said husband Samuel’s will & her son John Radcliffe’s last will & testament, 
she has sold the same to Henry Radcliffe, bearing the date of 10 October 1704, & Henry was entered for it in October 1705.
   1706 Liber Vastarum, German: Henry Radcliffe & his wife Ellin Radcliffe alias xxxx had a parcel of intack land / houses & gardens of 6d yearly 
   rent, & he died intestate so that the rent fell to his children, vizt, Henry & Jane & Richard Radcliffe, who were entered for it in May 1706.
Old German Sales, bundle 1 #22: date 18 October 1704, Peel: Ann Radcliffe alias Knight of Peel, 'to relieve my necessitous conditon' 
sold for £8 10s English to friend Henry Radcliffe of Castletown a house & garden in Peel known as Samuel Radcliffe's house & garden, 
rent 9d, witnesses Charles Cowle & Charles Radcliffe & Thomas Radcliffe.   
Old German Sales, bundle 2 #63: date 30 June 1712, Peel: Ann Radcliffe alias Knight of Peel gave after her decease to nephew Silvester Radcliffe of Peel 
the house wherein she lived & the backside, rent 1.5s & 2d Brass rent, and if he died before Ann, then it was to go to his sister Christian, and so on 
from sister to sister, witnesses: Matthew Curghey & James Radcliffe.
