Archdeacon Will 1687A #58 Malew will of John Fargher, of Ballaquaggin, Malew & Ballagick in Bendoill treen, Santan, dated 8 January 1687/8:  
Summary: wife Mary xxxx is alive, eldest daughter & heiress Margaret (left Ballaquaggin, of age by October 1696), 2nd dau Joney (left Ballagick), youngest dau 
[Mary] (to inherit Ballagick if Joney died without children); witnesses: Thomas Fargher & John Bridson & John Fargher clerk; pledges Thomas Fargher & Henry Taylor.
? Santan parish register: Kath: Fargher from Ballagick buried 14 July 1733.
?Dau: Santan parish register: Jane Gicke alias Ffargher  buried 22 June 1724.
??Malew parish register: John Ffargher, Coolcam,  buried 22 February 1687/8.
Dau: Malew parish register: Mary Fargher married William Brew on 7 October 1693 in Malew.
Father & dau & her husband: 1704 Composition Book, Santan: Bendoile treen: Mary Fargher & William Brew her husband of KK Malew, were entered for 
the fourth part of a Quarterland of 6s 6d double rent called Ballagick, compounded for in 1643 by [her grandfather?] John Fargher, fine then for 
this was 7s 6d renewed in 1666, Live one in being so to pay now 5s. 
   1704 Composition Book, Santan: Bendoile treen: Charles Gick was entered for a fourth part of the said Quarterland of 6s 6d double rent, 
   compounded for in 1643 by his grandfather Charles Gick, fine then was 7s 6d,  Lives expired so to pay  7s 6d.
   1704 Composition Book, Santan: Bendoile treen: Robert Brew of Ballagick was entered for a quarter of 13s double rent, 
   compounded for in 1643 by Robert Quay, fine then was 15s, renewed in 1666, & 2 lives in being, so to pay now 10s.

1704 Composition Book, Malew, Abbey Demesnes: Mary Fargher & her husband William Brew were entered for 6d rent in Ballagaraij (Ballagareraig treen) compounded 
for in 1643 by John Fargher [?Mary's grandfather], fine then was 4s & compouned again in 1666 and the fine charged with the fine of a certain miln of 10s rent 
called Mullen Argher as hereafter follows.
1704 Composition Book, Malew, Abbey Demesnes: Mary Fargher & her husband William Brew were entered for 8s 2d rent compounded 
for in 1666 by Christopher Fargher, fine then was £3 10s 10d, years determined so to pay now £3 10s 10d.
1704 Composition Book, Malew, Abbey Demesnes: Mary Fargher & her husband William Brew were entered for 8d more near Mullen Argher compounded for in 1643  
by John Fargher, fine then was 5s 8d, years determined and compounded for in 1666 and the fine charged with Mullen Argher hereafter mentioned.

KK Mallew Jan: 8th 1687 The will of John Ffargher of quackan who comitted his soule to God & his body to X?ian buriall; Item he bequeathed to the poore a bowle of barley & ferlet of oat meale and flesh at the Discrecon of his Exec: Item bequeathed to his eldest daughter his halfe of the teame vid: 3 oxen wth all geares halfe the cropp of corn wth all husbandrie geares belonginge to the farme She giveing three pounds in money or money worth to her sister Jony Ffargher left alsoe to her the said Jonie Ballagick in KK St Ann and if she die wthout issue then that ye youngest daughter shall have and enjoy the said Ballagick and if the said youngest daughter die wthout issue then that the said Ballagick shall returne to the eldest daughter, Item he bequethed to Margt: his daughter seven pounds sterling Item he constituted nominated and appointed his lovinge wife his Executor of all the rest of his goods moveable and unmoveable; Item bequeathed to Tho: Parr clerk a mutton, Item the wife hath given her assent and full consent to all her husbands disposeing of Ballagick and all that is contained in this his will Test Tho: Parre vicr: The Exr: sworn in Court in form Jo: Ffargher clerk of Law Jo: Bridson } Tho: Ffargher} jur: pbatum est et solvit xijd The goods included in the will, pledges given in by the Exrs: Tho: Ffargher & Hen: Taylor [slip of paper:] October ye 14th 1696 This is to certifie that I Margret Ffargher do confess my self to have received att and from the hands of my mother Mary Ffargher all the goods that was due to me by ye death of my ffather Jon: Ffargher, As witness my hand Margt: Ffargher my mrk X This acquittance is acknowledged by the sd Margt: Ffargher before Jon: Cosnahan Tho: Brew & Hu: Kinnish
