KK Malew Decembr: ye 9th 1687 The last will and testament of Jane Quackin als Shimin who first commited her soul to God and body to Christian burial. Item she bequeathed to the poor a firlet of malt 2 kissans barley &2 kissans wheat and four kissans of meal. Item she bequeathed to John Prestons wife her best petti coat and wastcoat. Item she bequeathed to Prestons children 2 yards of linnen cloth. It: to her son Thomas Quackin she bequeathed an ox and a horse. It: he bequeathed to her husband his choise either an ox or horse. It: she left yt the crop of corne should not be devided, but that it should continue to the use and mantenance of them all, until her son Thomas married, and that when he married he was forthwith to enter on one halfe of the crop as it then remained either in the stack-yard or field, he the sd Tho: giveing his dayly assistance to= wards the management of the same.
