Lez aire The last will and testamen of John Cowley who departed this life yt nineteenth of february 1687, who first comitted his soule to God and his Body to Christian buriall; Item he left to his daughter Margery a chest yt was within after the death of ye ould woman; Itm: to his daughter Ellezabeth one firlett of dry corne; Itm: to his daughters Ellin & Margrett six pence Legasie apeece; Item, his shapen cloath to Ewan Cowley; It: he left to Philip Cowley the fourth part of the corn of the Croft if he wud maintaine the hedges and help his daughter towards the hirding if not he was not to have it; It: he left to Will: Crowe a lamb; Itm: he said that there was one shilling due to him from Phillip Cowley and that he was saiving[?] ther[?] shillings eigh pence to Thomas Stevenson; Item he constituded and apointed his daughter Isabell his true and lawfull executor of all the rest of his goods movable and unmovable Testes The Exrx: at age is sworne in John Skillicorne} Court according to Law Willm: Crowe } jurati pbatum est et solvit 6d The Inventory amounts to 1£ - 3s - 6d Pledges according to Law Jo:Cotter & Wm Crow
