Archdeacon Will 1689A #022 Santan will of Carter Creen / Kneen, died before 12 February 1689/90:
Summary: not married, sister Joney / Joan, sister Ann, witnesses: Robert Callow & Elizabeth Bridson; pledge: Robert Callow.
NOTE: AW Moore indicates that the surname Kneen was sometimes pronounced Creen, and written that way. An example of this is the Episcopal Will of Christian Callow
alias Creene of Maughold, 1679. The Maughold parish register lists her as Christian Callow als Kneene buried 2 April 1679. Or ArW 1701A #80 Lezayre will of William
Creen, died 31 January 1701/2 (children John & Edmund & Margaret & Ellinor & Jane & William Creen); but Maughold parish register: William Kneen buried 1 February
1701/2. Moore also indicates that Creen probably has a different derivation from Kneen, and so is a distinct family from Kneen. Just one more confusion!
