'Phinlo' is used in this will, but 'Philip' in the 1689 defuncts Malew & the burials of Malew parish register. Also, 'Phinlo' is recorded in the 1650 Liber Canc, 
Malew #57, but in most other areas, as 'Philip'. 

KK Mallew Novbr: 14th 1689 The will of Hen: Quaile who comitted his soule to God, and his bodie to Christian buriall; Item bequeathed to the poore 2 or 3 kissans of oat meale; Item he bequeathed to Sr: Tho: Parr a lambe; Item he bequeathed to Phillip Causoon bed cloathes to witt a blanket canvess and fledge and lodginge or shelter in the house as he had before; Item he bequeathed to the two youngest children Robt and John Quaile five pounds betwixt them, Item he bequeathed to his son William all his lands that is his pt of the lands that he payeth rent of after his mothers death and if William die then he bequeatheth the said lands to John his son and he to give fourtie shillings to his son Robt: Quaile, the mother he willed should have the said lands dureing her naturall life and then to returne to his son Will: or John in Course as aforesaid and sd his the mother gave her full ocnsent; Item he said that there was fourtie shillings Debt; Item he nominated appointed & consti= =tuted his wife his true and lawfull Exeuctrix and left the children wth their goods to their mother his wife The Execr: sworn in Court Test: John Taggart} according to Law Will: Quaile} jurati pbatum et solvit 1s Pledges to secure ye office in form of Law Wm Bridson and Wm Quaile
