Ramsey 1689 In the name of God Amen: I Margery Christian als Sumpter being being sick & weak in body, and of pfect mind & memory praised be God doe make this my last will and Testamt: in maner & form following: ffirst I comend my prcious soul to the hands of my blessed Creator & Receemer & my boty to Xtian buriall; Itm: I leave and bequeath to ye poor at the discrecon of my Execr: hereafter nominated. Itm: I leave to my daughter Margt: Watle= worth ten pounds in gold vizt: ten broad peices. Itm: to my sd daughter a feather bed furnished, and all my shaped apparell both linen & woolen. Itm: I leave to my grandchildren Nicholas & Ellin Christian forty pounds wch I have in Mr Calthrops lands, the use of wch my son Nicholas is to have dureing his life, and after his decease or sooner if he see fitt the same is to descend to my two grandchildren afforsd. Itm: I leave to my grand= daughter Ellin five pounds wch is in Capn: Rattliffs hands & five pounds wch is in Garretts Milne. Itm: I leave to my sd two grandchildren to each of them a feather bed wth furniture.
