Archdeacon Will 1689A #111 Lezayre will of Captain William Garrett, died before June 1690:   
Summary: [1st wife Dorothy Rigby her will ArW 1661A #37 Lezayre], 2nd wife is not mentioned, son in London, dau Ann [by 1st wife Dorothy Rigby, married to Thomas 
Christian by 1681], cousin John Garrett (owed 60£) also: Thomas Woods junior is owed 6£, John Gell, witnesses: xxxx Cottier & xxxx Caine.
Will of 1st wife: ArW 1661A #37 Lezayre will of Dorothy Garrett alias Rigby, died 13 December 1661, intestate: husband Captain William Garrett is alive, only daughter 
Ann Garrett; father in law John Garrett, sister Ellin Huddlestone als Rigby (Ann's aunt on the mother's side) is supervisor, pledge: William Curghey of Coolebane; 
NOTE, her husband William Garrett was a corporal when Dorothy died, and by 1667 was a Captain.

   June ye 7th 1693: Then receive from Tho: Xtian of Duglass in pt of the summ of five pounds belonging to ye poor of Duglass the summ of three pounds sterl; 
   I say received, By me  Jn: Christian.
   Know all men by these prsents yt wee Phi: Christian & Jo: Vinch both of ye towne of Duglas, do acknowlede & confesse orselves to owe & stand rihtly indebted 
   unto ye Revrend Mr Patrick Thompson clark ye full & just sume of ten pounds of lawfull monys of or in England: to ye paymt: of wch sum well & truely to be 
   payd, wee bynd us both & either of us or: heirs executrs administratrs or asigns of us & either of us joyntly & severally for ye whole, & in ye whole 
   f-----ely by these prsents, as witness or hands & seals ye twentyth of february 77.  
   The Condicon of this obligation is truth, yt if Tho: Christian (son in law to Capt Wm Garett of KK Christ Lezre) his heires executrs administrs: or assigns do 
   well & truely pay or cause to be payd unto ye abovesaid Mr Pat Thompson his heirs executors administrators or assigns ye full & just summ of five pounds ster: 
   (being ye stocke of the poores wth ye ----- use or considerate therout due & yearely to be payd aster[?] ten[?] psent: for ye use of ye poore: & ye sd five pound 
   as abovesaid to be payable --k-ise[?] at & upon demand at every years end, (when just or ahor[?], for ye poore better advantage shalbe to call for ye same: that 
   then ye above named obligation to be voyd & of no effect all this to confirme & testifie wee all pties concernd have subscirbed wth or seales & Marks ye day & 
   year above written by me Thomas Christian his hand and seale, Jo: Vinch his mrk & seale X, Phillip Christian his hand & seale.
   Note the other mony in reserve[?] by Tho: Christian & his bounds men ye twenteth of this instant february 7 yet to be pay ye consideration; five s to ye 
   poore use, every Christmas before: viz upon St Tho: Day before Christmas: but is to have then[?] & ye mane five pound, still yearly, to ye years end as 
   to --- yet may be for be ----   wittnesses hereof:  John Normansell,  Issable Kelly her mark X.
   Note ye wthin bill of 5£ under ye hand ot Thomas Christian & his bonsmen (tho taken in my name) is pply ye poores money, justly due, & left to ym as Legacy, by 
   Bp: Rutter, to ye poor of Town & pish; ye sd Tho: Christian & bonsmen Lyable to pay an yearly consideration, to ye poores use out of ye same, every St Thomas day, 
   before Christmas; & in cas of any falure therof, ye mane 5£ upon demand, to be repaid by ym; & be put into other secure hands, for ye use of ye poor accordingly

   This for explanation, I have wirtten upon ye back of ye above  mentiond bill, & have likewise, for ye more secure & better safty therof (in these my declining 
   latter day) put ye bill into Record in ye Spirituall Registry, belonging to ye Arch: halfe year, w----- ------ Samll Wattleworth ------ Regit: hisr d------ in

   Tho: Christians bound (wth bonds men) for 5£ poores mony & 10s consideration to be payd out of ye same to ye poore use every St Tho: day before Christmas
