This with cordiall respects is all at present from Your affect ----- You are to adde also ye price Sam: Watleworth of two oxen wch have lately become due to ye sd child The following was found after ArW 1695A #23 Ballaugh will of William Killip A Complaint and Order regarding William Corlett the Son & Heir of Philip Corlett of Birrag, who is underage and living with his mother; supervisors are brother Thomas Corlett, brother William Corlett, and brother in law William Cannell; Philip died 1689, his will ArW 1689A #122 Jurby: Att a Consistory Court holden at KK Michael Church the 19th day of March ----- Whereas complaint is made in Court that the son and heir of Phillip Curlett late of Birrogg in the parish of Jourby is very much slighted an neglected in his Education learning suitable to his Estate and quality; and that by his supervisors Thomas Curlet, William Connell and William Curlet; It is therefore ordered, that the mother of the sd child (with whom she is at present) shall carefully and dilligently send the sd child to the parish Church of Jourby as soon as there shall be a school Master there (which is supposed to be immediately after Easter next) in order to his education, and also furnish him with meat, drink and clothes and other necessaries as becometh; or in default thereof upon further complaint of the sd Supervisors, the sd child is to be taken from his sd mother and put into the tuition and custody of the next of Kinn to his ffather, and particularly into the hands of Thomas Curlett who is to get nothing by the Death of the sd child, please God he dye under age; And this to be observed under such penalty as the Law provides in such cases, Dat ut Supra Sam: Watleworth Robert Parr
