Jurby This is affirmed to be the last will & Testamt: of Mark McMeer of Jurby who departed this life December ye 21 1699 being in good & perfect memory. First he committed his soul to God & his body to Christian burial; Itt: he bequeaths to his loving wife Catherin a cow Itt: to my dau ghter Jony three shills: Itt: to his gossip Wm Kelly five shills: Itt: to his Gossip Wm Singer five shills: to be paid the sd legacies when the moneys in Cooillavata is redeemed. Itt: he be queaths to Cathrin his wife twentie shills: to wards the bringing up of ye birth on her bearing if it so be the sd birth did live to trouble & put her to expence she was allowed the twentie shills: for her pains other wise to be given to his two other daughters Jean &Ann; Lastly he constituted&appoints his two daughters Jean & Ann & ye birth on his wifes bearing joint executors of all the rest of his goods moveable & unmvoeable of wt kind soever And if so be yt these children dye under age he be= queaths twentie shills: to his daughter Jony, & all ye ---- Cathrin his wife, if any friend shou'd claim any thing due to them he cutts them of wth six pence le= gasie.
