Lezayre Forasmuch as I have found my daughter Jane Gill my youngest daughter my dutiffull, loveinge, and kind to mee in divers respects; therefor I doe thees by deed off gift Imedeatly to all Intesnt & purposes such yt ----- ---ant to her & hers a chest in my house with a payre of flaxen sheets and a payre of blanketts and a flegd in ye same chest, also halfe off my sheep, also all ye cash I have, this is to be understood yt --- her daughters part off goods is to be included in all thees, also It is to be under stood yt my foresd daughter out off her love & respects doth have all ye foresd goods in my own keeping; and off necessety compa---- ---e yt I may make use off them and what leaving ther will be; That then they may be here, and yt I may not alter any part off thees I have causd this to be writtn this 24th Aprill 1692 and have causd my name to be written & have put to my mark in consent off thees wittnesses Elizabeth Gill my marke X W: Curghey --bt: Curghey my mark X Aprill the 27th 1692 The above named Elizabeth Gill came this day and acknowledged all the afore and within premisses to be her & one inturie Act and deed, before me This Deed of gift being proved before Edw: Christian the Deemster, ye same is accepted of for ye las will of Eliz: Gill & her daughter Jane sworn in form of Law acceptum et solvit [next page] Pledges to perform the office & pay all debts, Edwd Gill & Ewan Curghey
