EPISCOPAL WILL Lezayre 1712
I Jon McYlecarane of KK Lezayre, being sick in body but of sound and
perfect memory, thanks be to God for the same, and calling to mind the
uncertainty of this life, do make this my last will and testament in
manner following:
First I commend my soul to Almighty God and my creator and ---
steadfastly that I shall receive full pardon and remission of my sins
throught the blood of Christ my savior, and my Body to the earth from
when it came to be buried after such --- manner as my executrix hereof
named----
Item I give and bequeath to my son Thomas the  two parts of all my land
and the third part of my land to my son William during his lifetime and
after his decease to return to Thomas to run as Heiship, with the two
other parts and if Thomas shall died without issue, the land then to fall
to Jon and so from child to child.
Item I will and desire my son Thomas to give and pay his brother Jon 20
shillings and his sister Catherine five shillings and his sister Isabell
five shillings and to his brother William six shillings.
Item I leave and bequeath my loving wife Margaret as legacy a mare and
a colt.
Item I leave and bequeath my son Thomas and William all the husbandry
gears plows irons spades or any other sorts whatever that belongs to the
land, and four of the best sheep I have.
Item I will and desire my two sons Thomas and William to work the land
an my executors hereafter named to sow it viz, such a course as usually
work under.
Item I will and desire my son Thomas to give his brother william the
funnin gof a cow, winter and summer and what land was named in Mary
Qualtrough's contract that they should have it in case they receovered
ilt.Item I declare my brother William oweth me thirty shillilngs and the
executor of Charles Sayle 28 shillings, William Kelly Ballama has---
I leave the Reverend Mr Tear a mutton.
Lastly I constitute and appoint my three children Jon, Catherine, and
Isabell sole executors of all the rest of my goods moveable and
immoveable and all my children--- like towards my funeral charges.
Margaret wife to the within Jon McYlecarane gave her consent that the
land should descend and fall as her husband willed it, save her own part
of Kisage Close.
The within Jon McYlcarane willed and desired that none of the goods
should be moved or divided for the space of two years.  He likewise
willed that the witnesses should have six pence a piece as legacy.

The executors are sworn in court, except Jon
The mother has the goods of Jon and gave pledge.  The rest have their
own goods and gave pledges.  William Kerrish and Hugh Cain.
