            Ellinor Bridson & Isabella
            Bridson of the town of
            Dougas Isle of Man

[Shew]eth
           That your Petitoners mother
        the late Mrs Isabella Bridson
        late of the town of Douglas Widow
        departed this life on or about
        the 14th day of November last having 
        first duly made and published
        her last will and testament
        being dated the 25th day of
        January 1868 Whereof she
        appointed your petitioners
        joint executrices.
             That it is necessary that
        Probate should be granted to

                pray a hearing hereof
                and that your worship
                may be pleased to 
                grant probate of the

will of Isabella Bridson Widow deceased
was granted to the petitioners Ellinor
Bridson and Isabella Bridson, Spinsters

Whereas the Ecclesiastical Court of the Isle and Diocese of Sodor and Mann hath this day
granted probate of the will of Isabella Bridson
widow to the executrices Ellinor Bridson & Isabella Bridson
spinsters
And whereas Thomas Bridson of Silverburn
in the Parish of Malew and John James John Kelly
of Douglas in the Parish of Braddan
have agreed to become pledges for the due and faithful Administration of the said Estate by the said
Ellinor Bridson & Isabella Bridson according to law,

Now know all Men by these presents, that we, the said Thomas
Bridson and John James John Kelly hereby bind and
oblige ourselves, jointly and severally, and our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, firmly by these
presents, as pledges for the said Elinor Bridson & Isabella Bridson
that they shall well and truly adminster, all and singular, to the Personal Estate and Effects of the
said deceased according to Law. And in their default, we bind ourselves, and each of us, for the 
whole, our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, to be answerable and responsible to the said Court
and to all parties interested in the said Estate and Effects, or the Administration thereof in the place
and stead of the said Ellinor Bridson & Isabella Bridson


    Witness our subscriptions, this 22 day of December in Year of our Lord
One Thousand Eight Hundred and sixty eight.

In the name of God Amen
I Isabella Bridson of Bucks Road
in the town of Douglas Widower being
of sound and disposing mind
memory and understanding but deeply
impressed with the uncertainty of
human life do make and publish and
declare this my last Will and
Testament in manner and form
following that is to say
   I give and bequeath to each of my 
sons Thomas Bridson John Bridson
Charles Bridson and William Bridson
the sum of five shillings
   I give devise and bequeath unto my
daughters Ellinor Bridson and Isabella 
Bridson all my right title property and 
interest of in and unto that Water
Corn Mill situate at or near Laxey
called and commonly known by the name
of the New Mill together with my right
title property and interest of in and unto

the Dwelling House easements grounds
lands and premises to the said Mill
Dwelling House and premises in anywise
appertaining or belonging and also all
other my real estate of every kind and
description to Hold the same unto my 
said daughters their heirs and assigns from
the day of my death for ever but in case
either of my said daughters shall die
unmarried her share of the said Mill
House lands and premises hereinbefore 
devised shall become the property of her
surviving sister and her heirs and assigns
and in case both my said daughters shall
depart this life unmarried then and in
that case the said Mill House lands and 
premises hereinbefore devised shall become
the property of all my sons who shall be
living at the time of the decease of my
surviving daughter and their heirs and 
assigns for ever as tenants in common.
And I hereby declare and it is my will
that the real estate herinbefore bequeathed
shall not in any case be in the power
or control or liable for the debts or
liabilities of any husband or husbands
they or either of them may have but

subject only to their own order and disposition
I hereby nominate constitute and appointed
my said daughters Ellinor Bridson and 
Isabella Bridson joint executrices of this
my will and residuary legatees thereunder
hereby revoking and annulling all and 
every former will or wills by me at any 
time heretofore made and executed.
  In witness whereof I have hereunto
subscribed my name this Twentyfifth
day of January One thousand eight
hundred and sixty eight 1868.

John Cubbon and James John Kelly the subscribing
witnesses to the forgoing paper writing puporting to be the last
Will and Testament of Isabella Bridson Widow deceased
having made Oath upon the Holy Evangelists that said
Isabella Bridson the Testatrix when of sound and
disposing mind memory and understanding duly signed

amd executed the same as and for her last Will and Testament
in the presence - Ellinor Bridson and Isabella Bridson
Spinsters the Executrices therein named and therfore sworn
well and truly to fulfil and execute the said Will and to
Andminister all and singular the estate and effects of the
deceased according to law by paying the just debts and
funeral expenses of the deceased and the legacies contained
in her Will so far forth as her estate and effects will
thereto stand and the law bind them also together unto
the Archdeacon's Registry of this Isle a full true and 
perfect inventory of all and singular the said estate
and effects with an accurate account of her Administration
thereof when thereunto lawfully required and to 
these ends they have given pledges namely Thomas
Bridson of Silverbourne in the parish of Malew
and James John Kelly of Douglas in the parish 
of Braddan who have entered into and executed
the usual Bonds in the presence of the
Court.

foregoing paper writing dated the
25th day of January 1868
was proved On the 22nd day
of December 1868 as the
last Will and Testament of
Isabella Bridson late of Bucks
Road in the Town of Douglas Widow Deceased
who died on or about the 15th
day of November 1868 and
probate granted to Isabella
Bridson and Elinor Bridson
daughters of the Testatrix the
Executrices therein named and
it having appeared that the said 
Isabella Bridson and Elinor
Bridson have both departed this
life without having fully
administered the personal Estate
and Effects of the said Isabella
Bridson deceased  This court
hath therefore granted administration
de bonis non (with her
Will annexed) of the personal

Isabella Bridson deceased to 
John Bridson of no 14
Prospect Terrace in the said 
town of Douglas Gentleman a Son
of the testatrix and accordingly
he is sworn well and faithfully
to administer the personal Estate

as aforesaid in leaves of her Said
Will and according to Law.

                      July 1928

    It appearing tht the foregoing paper writing
dated the 25th day of January 1868 was proved on
the 22nd day of December 1868 as the last will and
Testament of Isabella Bridson late of Bucks Road
in the borough of Douglas, Widow, deceased, who 
died on or about the 15th day of November 1868 at
Douglas aforesaid and Probate granted to
Isabella Bridson and Ellinor Bridson, spinsters 
daughters of the testatrix the executrices named
in the said will and at a court held at Douglas
on the 6th day of October 1902 it having appeared
that the said Ellinor Bridson and Isabella
Bridson had both departed this life without
having fully administered the personal estate and
effects of the said Isabella Bridson deceased
was granted to John Bridson, a son of the deceased,
who departed this life on the 17th day of
January 1905 without having fully administered
the personal estate and effects of the said testatrix administration de bonis non (with her said
will annexed) of the personal estate and effects
of the said Isabella Bridson deceased is
therefore granted to Constance Shepherd Bridson

of No 9 West View Terrace, Woodbourne Road
in the said borough of Douglas, spinster,
a grand-daughter of the said testatrix and
accordingly she is sworn well and truly to
administer the estate of the said Isabella
Bridson deceased so left unadministered
as aforesaid in terms of her Will and 
according to Law.
