WILLIAM KILLEY To his worship JURBY Richard Jebb Esq Vicar Genral &c &c &c 1871 The humble petition of 7 Christian Killey of the Parish of Jurby Widow Episcopal 1899 No. Sheweth That William Killey of Kerroo Cruin in the Parish of See Jurby Petitioners Husband departed 1899 this life on the 6th day of No June last Intestate. That it has become necessary that Administration to his Estate should be granted to some fit and proper person or persons. That the next of kin of the said Deceadant are his Widow your petitioner and his son William Killey and daughter [next page] Margaret Kneale alias Killey wife of Robert Kneale. Wherefore your petitioner prays a hearing hereof and that your Worship may be pleased to grant Administration of the Estate of the said William Killey to your petitioner or to some other fit and proper person or persons and she will pray &c. John Le Mothe for Petitioner Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard before me at an Ecclesiastical to be held at Ramsey on Friday the 24th day of February 1871 at 10 o’clock in the forenoon. Given at Ramsey this 20th day of Feb’y 1871 R Jebb [signature] [New page – blank] [New page] William Killey 1871/7 Know all men by these presents that Collin Thomas Dodd of Glenfaba Road in the town of Peel and Ann Jane Dodd his wife William Edward Clarke of Chester Street in the town of Douglas and Margaret Clarke his wife and Robert Kneale of Bathurst Street in the town of Douglas do own and acknowledge that they have examined and audited the accounts of Radcliffe Kelly of No 44, Michael Street in the town of Peel Adminstrator de bonis non of the estate of William Killey late of Kerroo Cruin in the parish of Jurby deceased date the 24th day of November 1899 of his administration of the said Estate and have found the same to be correct in every particular And the said Collin Thomas Dodd and Ann Jane his wife do hereby acknowledge that they have received from the said Administrator the sum of Ten Pounds eight shillings and sixpence And said William Edward Clarke and Margaret his wife do hereby acknowledge that they have [New page] received from the said administrator the sum of Ten pounds eight shillings and six pence And the said Robert Kneale doth hereby acknowledge that he hath received from the said Administrator the sum of Ten pounds eight shillings and sixpence the said respective amounts being the one forth share of the amount available for distrubution shown by the said account payable to the said Ann Jane Dodd and Margaret Clarke and Robert Kneale respectively as next of kin of their late mother Margaret Kneale deceased late of Jurby Widow who was the daughter of the said William Killey, the other one forth share of the said Estate namely the sum of Ten pounds eight shillings and sixpence being retained by the said Radcliffe Kelly for and in sight of his wife Elizabeth Kelly who is entitled to the same as one of the next of kin of her mother the said Margaret Kneale deceased. Wherefore the said Collin Thomas Dodd and Ann Jane his wife, the said [new page] William Edward Clarke and Margaret his wife and the said Robert Kneale do hereby respectively release and discharge the said Administrator Radcliffe Kelly and the estate of the said William Killey from all further claims and demands in repect of their said respective distributive shares. This 24th day of November 1899. Radcliffe Kelly [new page] Whereas William Killey of the Kerroo Cruin in the Parish of Jurby on or about the 6th day of of June 1870 departed this life intestate and administration of his Estate was granted to Christian Killey his Widow at a Ecclesiastical Court holden at Ramsey on the 24th day of February 1871. And Whereas under and by virtue of the said Administration the said Christian Killey prosecuted and realised the said personal Estate of the said William Killey and paid and discharged all his just debts and funeral expenses according to Law. And whereas the ____ noiety of the ____ widow of the said personal estate is justly due to and retained by the said Christian Killey as widow aforesaid and hereunto moity in equal shares and proportions in justly due and owing to William Killey son of the deceased and to Margaret Kneale wife of robert Kneale daughter of the deceadant. And whereas the said Christian Killey Administrator of deceased as aforesaid has paid and satisfied the said William Killey and Robert Kneale fr ate sums due to them in respect of the a_____ shares of the said deceased estate threfor Know All Men by these presents that the said William Killey of the Kerroo Cruin in the parish of Jurby and the said Robert Kneale of the same place do each and both of them acknowledge to have received from the said Christian Killey the full amount of each of their respective shares in the clear personal estate of the said William Killey deceased as a aforesaid And they do truly request as aforesaid direct that this their receipt therefore be placed upon the ecclesiastical record along with the original order a decree of administration as aforesaid.
